Zachary Quinto Confirmed as Spock!

According to Moviehole, their sources tell them that the deal between Zachary Quinto and Paramount is done and all the “i’s” dotted and the “t’s” crossed. Or as they put it: “…our sources at Paramount have just confirmed it - Zachary Quinto, the brain-eating freak (on TV) has dotted his I’s, crossed his T’s, and is officially on board to play Mr. Spock in the new J.J. Abrams helmed “Star Trek” film.”
So there you go, Sylar fans. And don’t worry, it’ll be easy enough for Tim Kring and company to write scripts around Quinto’s absence as he shoots the Abrams movie.
Here’s a cool picture of Zachary Quinto with Vulcan ears, linked by reader Ladon:

I believe he is a great actor, and that what we`ve seen until now is just the begining. His performance as Sylar is perfect, and he can scare anyone with those eyes. I don`t know what will happen with the movie, but I know that he was the right choice to play Spock, because can you imagine anyone more perfect than him for the part? I can`t. Good luck Zachary!

im convinced zach will be a brilliant spok! he’s got that spooky feeling about him in heroes but im sure that jis new character in star trek will balance his career out a bit! i dont think he wants a big reputation for eating peoples brains!

Zachary will make a brriliant Spook, he looks exactly like the young Spook.
Zachary playing Sylar in Heroes is awesome, he suits the part well.

I love heroes, and yes he plays Sylar great. I just think (at least in my brain) he is so strongly type-casted as a very convincingly evil killer that I will have a hard time thinking of him as anything else. I’ll keep expecting him to eat the crew’s brains or something. Imagining Zachary Quinto as a good guy will be like trying to think of Adam Sandler as anything other than a goof. Then again, maybe he’ll play Spock so well that he’ll change that perception for me. Either way, I’ll have to see the movie.
