Will Claire Get a Boyfriend in Season 2?

In case you were wondering if Claire would survive Season 1 (and there were rumblings in the forum that the character, and the actress playing her, Hayden Panettiere, might not reason for Season 2), you can now put your mind at ease, boys. According to this interview with Sci Fi Wire, Hayden Panettiere will clearly return for Season 2, and she even wonders if her character will get a boyfriend. Says Hayden about the possibility of, as the kids say, Claire “hooking up”: “I haven’t heard or seen anything from this upcoming season, so I can’t tell you what exactly is going to happen, but, yes, there is potential.”

Panettiere added that it’s something she’d like to see happen on the show—and she said that she has a feeling the audience agrees. “I think people want to see her being a normal teenage girl,” she said “They want to see her have boyfriends. They want to see the human side of her, which, you know, is what normal teenage girls do. They date. They like boys. They kiss boys.”
