I haven't been lucky enough to view the pilot, so I am only commenting on the review...
From what it sounds like, it would definitely make more sense to give Isaac more screen time for the pilot, even if it would've come at the expense of lessening other's screen time. As long as they make up for it in episode 2.
No Greg? Darn...
You think Adrian is best set-up to lead? It sounds reasonable, but I can't wait for others to scoff at you... I would vote for Greg, but since you've seen the pilot, I will defer to your knowledge. (Even I can see that his profession would require a certain amount of leadership capabilities.)
Which Star Trek's does Hiro quote? (Just as long as he doesn't do a Scott Bakula impression, I'll be fine with it.)
Anyway, a great review...

His brain isn't his commanding officer - Lois Lane in Season 5 of Smallville
Hiro does speak some English as does his friend........they both stumble over "Yogurt"..........and Hiro joyously yelps out at the end "Hello, New York!"
Hiro quotes mainly The Original Series........as he refers to Spock and uses the phrase......>"I want to boldly go where no MAN has gone before" where as TNG uses "To bold go where NO ONE has gone before."
And, I must admit I disagree with Nathan being the Leader (if I am wrong, I doubt "reformed" plays much into it, sorry)..........I believe that Claire will be the surprise stand-out leader..........sorry about that too.

I definitely think they're lining up Nathan as the hero. Just look at all the cast photos -- whose always in the center, looking the most prominent and, shall we say, "leaderly" (yes, that is a word, I swear it). I believe Claire is way too young to be anyone's leader; poor girl still has homecoming on her mind!
And yup, I bet Kring has been gearing up Hiro for fanboy favorite from day one.

PeterPoker I am obessed with Claire is because she's the closest to myself as I can see [currently] on the show. No I am not adopted, I was NOT cool/popular/nor a cheerleader........but, the whole trying to fit in and needing to understand things at that age.......she's just embodies who I was as a teenager.
Sam Maybe, maybe not.........I am NOT saying that any one main character will be the leader..........and I am NOT even sure they will all be "teamed-up" in NYC (I hope they do, but from what I've read; it may or may not happen).........it's just I see a lot of potential in Claire.........Nathan as her father (I am hoping it is true about speculations of Nikki/Nathan being Claire's biological father) could "help" her lead.......but, I just can't see Nathan as the out-n-out Leader.........despite the promotional photos of the group! 8)
Has anyone considered Micah for leader? He seems really smart. It's brains, not braun that make a good leader. Hiro seems cool, but I don't see him leading. And Nathan, well, no one trusts politicians anymore. Greg? He might be a cop, but he strikes me more as a good soldier taking orders not giving them. The only one who comes close to Micah's smarts is Mohinder Suresh, but he isn't a mutant. I could see him being the leader though. I would like to find a way to discredit Claire, but the only knock on her is her youth, which Micah suffers from as well. I just can't get away from the feeling that Micah will be the leader. I mean, he's Urkel, only cooler!

You do realize that if Micah and Claire are half-siblings.......then, it's possible that Claire is just as smart (maybe even smarter than) Micah!? 8)
