looks interesting but i was more looking forward to the dresden files. didn't see any promos for it unfortunately. but i love the premise of a wizard helping the cops solve crimes. sounds cool.
This could be really good if it doesn't get too dark or too confusing:

The Fugitive meets The Twilight Zone in this contemporary sci-fi nail-biter starring Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) and Julianna Margulies (ER, The Sopranos). When homicide detective Joe Miller stumbles upon a seemingly innocuous motel room key, he unlocks the door to a world of unimaginable power and becomes the target of those who will stop at nothing to claim it. The motel room is a virtual treasure trove of mundane objects. But each of the everyday items found in the room possesses its own unique power. And as Joe soon discovers, the motel room key is the most potent and coveted of all the mysterious items. Shadowy organizations dedicated to collecting these peculiar objects relentlessly pursue him, hoping to claim the key. When his daughter vanishes inside the motel room, he also becomes the focus of a heated police investigation. Hunted and alone, Joe has become the central player in a game to which he doesn't know the rules.

The above link mentions that this is supposed to be a “limited series.” It also mentions that the show is filming in New Mexico. Through my searching, I have yet to find when it plans to air, and at what time slot.
A little more information comes from the above link. Apparently Sci-Fi is open to the possibility of it becoming a regular series, but right now it is planning on airing 8 hours of “limited series” sometime December 2006. The site directly above also gives a little more info as to what certain items can do.
