Battlestar Galactica Fans? Check out these SEason 3 Plots!
Check it out, fans of BSG. There are a couple of pretty cool tidbits about the upcoming Season 3 from AICN.
Quote:
* Just as the second season finale jumped ahead in time, the third season premiere will jump ahead more. The humans dwell – some would say suffer - under the Cylons for a long period, but largely offscreen.
* Expect fewer stand-alone episodes.
* 3.4 is a stand-alone episode.
* We’ll meet a human POW who’s been on a basestar for four years. And the reason he’s been a Cylon prisoner is because Bill Adama brought him down.
* Bill Adama and Sol Tigh will be at odds during the start of season three, then reconcile.
* A basestar will become ravaged by a plague upon the Cylons.
* 3.9 sets up 3.20, the season finale. Both involve the path to Earth.
* Dean Stockwell and Richard Hatch will continue to lurk about.
* Zarak will be returned to stir. At least at first.
* The “Caprica” prequel pilot is still being written.
I didn't even know they were doing a "Caprica" series! I love how Season 2 ended, with them forwarding through time. That was cool. Looks like they're going to keep doing it!
Nice! I love the new BSG. Quite possibly one of the best sci-fi shows on TV right now, if not the best currently on the air. Depressing as hell, too. after every episode I feel like taking a shower.
Just saw some promos for the third season while watching "Eureka". It looks good. I think the writers are going to turn the humans into terrorists and make the Cylons the not-Bush Bush Government, etc. You know Hollywood writers; they always find ways to diss Bushy every chance they get, and "allegories" are their favorite weapon. It's the same thing they're doing on "Stargate" right now, not to mention '24".
Ha ha yeah I've noticed that. Every drama/action show is doing that whole "not-Bush Bush foreign policy" allegory or anaology or whatever it's called. Wasn't that what all of last year's 24 was about?

Canada.com article on 10th aniversary of Stargate SG-1 link here mentions that one of the creators for the show, Brad Wright, is Canadian. If they are making a statement about Bush policies, why? The whole show is filmed in Vancouver, and a great deal of the people are Canadian. Wouldn't that be a bit nasty to denounce a foreign policy when it has nothing to do with you? If this is the case, then it really is sad. However, I am not entirely sure that is the case. I can very easily believe that 24 is doing this, though. BSG is also filmed in Vancouver, and the article mentions its relations to the post 9/11 world.
