I hate trilogies, especially when the second part doesnt end but just 'stop". I feel gyped, the same with the kill bill and matrix movies. I'll wait for them to come out and rent them on dvd and watch at once.

Definitely. I'll wait for the dvds. I hate paying twice to see what is essentially one movie. I felt so ripped off with "kill Bill"

I loved Pirates 1, but I am concerned about the odd and unnatural characters in the second one. Granted cursed pirates that turn to skeletons in the light of day are not exactly natural, but the Star Wars like characters in the one have me concerned about the hokey factor.

Interesting, tob, I read a script review of the two pirates movie a while back, and the two films seem to take a very fantastical approach (I mean, more so than before, ahem) from this point on. A lot of stuf with Gods, Poseidon, and whatnot. Kinda strange. Despite the ghost elements, I always thought Pirates part 1 was kinda "real" and "gritty" for some reason. Don't know about making it all "Harry Potter" esque...

Well after the weekend it doesn't seem that to many people share our fear or our desire to see the film(s) stay in the genre of the first.

I can't believe Pirates broke Spidey 2's box office record. Can't wait til Spidey 3 comes out next year so the record can be broken again!
