There was also a media survey report that said "Heroes" is one of the most anticipated shows by the average viewer based solely on previews and show description, but I didn't post that. It does mean the show is VERY highly anticipated, which should bode well for a big premiere. Only 82 days left!

The only problem with all the positive press, it that it puts a lot of pressure on the show because of the high expectation. I think the show will exceed the expectations, but oohh the pressure.

Yeah, but it's good pressure. The kind of pressure that shows people care. If no one cared, then there would be pressure to even get the pilot episode televised.

I didn't mean to sound negative if I did. I only meant that if it doesn't come out of the chute on fire the mainstream media will kill it and fans who would otherwise have come in after an episode or two might shy away.

I will avoid the obvious off color joke that was available there, but your point is taken. Perhaps after so many years dealing with the public I simply don't trust them to make a decison on their own rather than listen to the media hype good or bad.

Well that's interesting that the show is called a "sleeper hit" without it being aired yet... Normally you hear that about videogames or movies that have not sold that much...not about hype calculation.
