Default i Just Saw Superman Returns

Okay, so I just saw Superman Returns. My verdict: good, but not great. The special effects are friggin awesome, but it's over 2 and a half hours long, and it seemed longer. I compare this to what Singer did with XMen, so you'll have to wait for Superman Return2 (or whatever they call it) for the really big superhero fights. Plus, I really didn't care for Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor. I don't know what all the hubbub about him was. He really brings the movie down. Superman and Lois was really serious, and here's Lex just yukking it up. Eh. I'd watch it again, but I don't think it'll get better. My grade, out of 10 stars, 8/10.

Just saw Returns myself and I somewhat agree with you. Lex Luthor is too cartoony for such a serious-minded movie. But I have to say, Brandon Routh is EXCELLENT as Superman. I had my doubts, but boy, did he sell it!

Lex Luthor was a little "off", but he was fun! I didn't really like the evil mastermind plan, as it just didn't seem to fit in with the "gritty" feel of the whole thing. Still all in all, the best superhero movie I've seen, right up there with "Spiderman 2".

Have to say that I am not a big Superman fan, but I am a big Bryan Singer fan. I am going to have to wait to see the movie until next Thurs unfortunately. Never promise to see a movie with friends without setting a date first!!

On the upside, we are going to see it in a DLP theater. Very nice.

I haven't seen it yet, but I never did get Kevin Spacey as Lex. I like spacey, but I just couldn't see him as luther.

He really is a good actor, but too over the top for me. He's playing the character too big and cartoonish.

This had been nagging at me, and I'm probably not the only one. For those that saw X3...

///SPOILER - Highlight to read///
Was anybody else annoyed that they killed Cyclops so early?

Well, now I know why! He was the fiance for Lois in Superman Return. So if anybody else was trying to figure out where they've seen him before, that's probably it.
