masi's character is really interesting to me, and I wonder if they're going to make him non-English speaking or not. It would probably make sense if he didn't speak English, though...

I think it could make sense that he speaks English...maybe he learned it in school or something? But yeah, you're right that if he's just chatting it up with friends and family then he should speak in his native language.
