So I raided Yahoo! Movies database for any signs of interesting movies as I haven't really heard of any besides the ones already mentioned. This is what I found:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - should be fun!
A Scanner Darkly - I don't care for the rotoscope thingy they used but it looks intriguing.
Clerks II - come on, it's Kevin Smith back to his roots!
Lady in the Water - M. Night Shyamalan's latest. The trailer makes it look pretty spooky.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend - superhero-based comedy. Possible fun times but also looks super cheesy.
Miami Vice - looks really gritty and tough action flick.
Snakes on a Plane - Samuel L. Jackson on a plane full of snakes. Love that title!
DOA: Dead or Alive - hot chicks in bikinis doing martial arts. I'm there!
So it looks like there are a lot more interesting flicks coming out then I originally thought. Either way, it can't beat 2007 -- spiderman 3 AND Transformers!
Lady in the Water, Clerks II, and Snakes on a Plane are my top 3. The rest are maybe-maybe not. I really don't like My Super Ex Girlfriend. It looks really lame.
Direct dump from my list of upcoming movies I am interested in:
superman returns
pirates of the caribbean 2
the lady in the water
snakes on a plane
pathfinder
the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford
the children of men
flyboys
sunshine
we are marshall
the prestige
the departed
happy feet
casino royale
apocalypto
eragon
the good shepherd
This is not to say that I will actually see all those in the theater, but they are the ones that I am going to be paying attention to.
Not a bad list, rayjb6! I'm very curious about "The Departed". I loved the Hong Kong original and it'll be interesting to see all this great American actors and filmmakers tackle it.

Just watched one of the worst movies I have ever seen. New World with Colin Farrel. You should burn down your video store if they won't take it off the shelf.
Farrell was pretty good in Tigerland. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. He plays a Texan and did a pretty good job. My favorite Joel Schumacher movie ever -- because it didn't look or feel like a Joel Schumacher movie.
