I know most people were bummed after RDA left, but is anyone still watching this? I stopped watching after a while but has been watching it again. It ain't bad! I kind of liked it again. Sort of. I wonder if Claudia Black was really pregnant in real life, and they decided to add that to her storyline?

It was actually the opposite for me, I really don't like RDA. So I never really watched regularly until the last few eps of season 8. I thought season 9 was great, and I'm looking forward to season 10.

I believe she was pregnant during the time her character was absent, although I am not sure if she was still pregnant when they filmed the end of season 9. I think a pregnancy was always planned (to set up a major plotline next season), and when they decided they wanted her character as a regular next year, Claudia's pregnancy was a handy way to bring her in.

I was always more of a Farscape fan myself. And no, that's not the reason I started liking Stargate. I started liking it before Ben Browder and Claudia Black came on.

Man I love Farscape. One of my favorite sci-fi shows of all time. But I really didn't like how they wrapped it up. Too much action and the ending was really lame.

But with SG1 I don't seek it out anymore, but if I accidentally come across the new episodes, I might stop to watch.

Farscape almost ruined all scifi for me. It was just too good.

The last five episodes of Stargate season 8 were pretty great, and season 9 was really good as a whole...almost a reboot of the series in a way. Season 10 starts in 3 weeks.

Claudia Black is really hot in Farscape. I don't know, but she sort of got unhot in SG1..

If I remember correctly, she was indeed with child in the final episodes of Season 9. Claudia had mentioned it to TPTB (The Powers that Be), and they worked it in.

STARGATE SPOILER!!!

Coincidently, the kid in the show grows up really quickly to eventually be played by Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Serenity as Inara Serra) later in Season 10.

END OF STARGATE SPOILER!!!!

For more information on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, feel free to visit these fan sites. Be warned, however, that the sites contain spoilers for future episodes.

As noted by the site directly above, the release of Stargate SG-1 Season 9 Boxed DVD set and possibly Season 2 Boxed DVD set of Stargate Atlantis might be delayed.

By the way, never heard of this show before...   Okay, I'm a huge fan...

Interesting, they just repeated the season cliffhanger of Season 9 earlier today. Does this mean Season 10 is coming upon us soon? The ending looked very good. More action-packed than I'm used to with SG1 actually.

Edited: According to one of the sites mentioned, Season 10 hits next month!

Yep! I checked SpoilerFix.com, and they have the air dates for both Stargate SG-1 Season 10 and Stargate Atlantis Season 3 being July 14, 2006. One can only hope that Heroes garners as much attention (or more) as the Stargates from Spoilerfix soon. That would be a tell-tale sign of deep popularity (or at least I hope).

How was the first year of Stargate? Did it get as much attention? I don't remember, it was so long ago...
