History/Personality: A very impulsive girl who always seizes the opportunities that lie before her, even when she was younger, Luna was always a very active as a child and was always seen running everywhere. Although she has mostly calmed down as she grew up, Luna still retains her very impulsive nature, always wanting to get one step ahead of everyone else. Her personality sometimes backfires against her as well, as she can miss obvious warning signs in her haste. It is not known exactly when her ability first manifested, as she has always shown superior speed ever since she was a child, so Luna regards her ability as something that is a part of her.

Ability: Kinetic Energy Amplification - Luna's ability allows her to increase a her own, another person's or object's kinetic energy through touch or from a distance, although she isn't quite aware her ability has grown to the point where she does not require physical contact to use her ability. She can use her ability to enhance her movement speed or throw a heavy movable object. The ranged version of her ability allows her to charge a distant person or object or person with kinetic energy, causing the object/person to be knocked away depending on their mass. The ability manifests physically as a crackling red glow.

Alternate universe storyline (Fall of New York City): Under extreme stress caused by adrenaline, her ability is enhanced to "super speed" levels, where time relative to Luna is stopped. This aspect of Luna's ability is uncontrollable through voluntary means.

Ability limitations: as this ability is not passive, Luna has to put concious effort into activating her ability. If she is in a state of emotional distress, her ability will not function or will function erratically, ie: she may much move faster than she intended to.

Ability growth potential: with enough experience with this ability, Luna can move herself with such speed so that time appears to stop for her while to an outside observer it appears Luna is teleporting or vanishing. At this level, the ability could be regarded as identical to "super speed", with the exception the speed is achieved through amplification of existing kinetic energy.

Name: Karen Kwan
Age: 17
Hometown : Toronto, Ontario
History and Personality: Born in Ontario, Canada, Karen was a mostly quiet and shy girl throughout childhood and still is as a teen. As a result of her shyness, she was picked on by other kids at school, particularly boys who were out to prove themselves. This went on for much of Karen's younger years until she befriended Luna who proved to be very protective over Karen and defended her against those who picked on her. However, before they both moved onto their highschool years, Karen's parents decided to move to the States due to her father receiving a very enticing promotion deal from his employer that required them to relocate.
Because of this change of events, Karen was forced to part from Luna, who she had depended on for support and protection for so long, but her worries were somewhat relieved when she found that highschool was less barbaric as she thought it was. Now that she is nearing her final highschool years, Karen has greatly improved on dealing with her social and school life and does not fear other people as much as she did before.

Karen first manifested her special ability when she was walking home from a friends house at night after spending the day there when she was nearly run down by a drunk driver speeding down the street. Karen had only survived due to her the manifestation of her ability, invulnerability, when she froze due to fright at the sight of the speeding vehicle bearing down on her. While Karen survived what could have been a terrible event, the drunk driver's vehicle wasn't so lucky - it was completely crumpled after it struck Karen. As there were no witnesses to the event and the driver was drunk enough not to remember what had happened, only Karen knew what had really happened that night.

Ability: Invulnerability to physical injury
Ability limitations: Karen can choose to make herself invulnerable to physical damage but at the cost of immobilizing herself. The invulnerability effect disappears as soon as Karen moves again.
Ability growth potential: With enough experience, Karen could potentially learn to make only certain parts of her body invulnerable, so that she does not completely immobilize herself, but only the part(s) made invulnerable.

Alternate Universe Storyline (An Empowered School Part 5: Los Angeles): Karen lives in the United States (Los Angeles) and is much more academically-oriented compared to her "primary" universe self. She is a great deal more self-confident, and is even a very competent driver and has her own car. In this universe, she has not exhibited the ability of physical invulnerability or any other power.

Name: Clara Zhang
Age: 25

Ability: Projected Teleportation - Clara can choose to teleport people or objects from one location to another, although her ability cannot be used to teleport herself.

Previous Ability: Photographic Teleportation - by looking at an image of a location, Clara can instantaneously teleport to that location. For her ability to work, the location must be real and the image must be descriptive enough to identify a particular location. Without a photographic reference, Clara is unable to teleport. ie: She cannot teleport to a location by observing it or visualizing it. With time and experience, Clara's dependence on pictures to teleport may be eliminated or reduced.
Notes: Clara no longer possesses this ability.

Personality: A dreamer-type girl who always seems to have her head in the clouds. Her strong sense of curiosity often leads her to see things that people normally miss. Clara has a hobby of taking pictures of interesting places and sights with her digital camera and reading books about faraway and interesting places.

History: Born into a rich family, Clara has everything a girl can wish for: money, security, and stability. However, her mother and father are both very business-oriented people and are often absent from Clara's life. Although they genuinely care about their daughter, they believe they are improving Clara's quality of life by giving everything she could want or need through wealth. Through this type of upbringing, Clara is very disconnected from reality - always being sheltered from the outside world. Although she lives in a vast luxurious mansion in California with hired servants always available, Clara desires to see the world for what it is.

Her ability first manifested when she was 16 years old when she was reading through a book about various places and landmarks in the world, and of all the images in the book a picture of the Eiffel Tower in France caught her eye and within moments she found herself directly in front of the tower, much to her amazement. Eventually, Clara was able to return to her home when she found a picture of her mansion grounds on a camera she had in her coat pocket. Ever since then Clara has been more careful and more creative in sneaking off to faraway places with her ability.

Personality/History: To Rose everything in the world around her moves too fast to the point where she feels she's never had the chance to really appreciate the little things in life, things she had taken for granted until they were taken away from her. She often wishes she appreciated her parents' comforting presence before they mysteriously vanished without a trace one day when she was still twelve years old. She now lives with her uncle and aunt in Spain.
