some of his music I liked, but him personally, not.

"Oh to be nothing"
I think he was an amazing performer, and just because the media percieved him to be the way he was seen, doesnt mean he was weird.
He's a musical legend. Without him, many artists that are out today wouldnt be here now.
He contributed so much to the musical world, and hes really gonna be missed.
A real inspiration to many singers. His music is some of the best around, Thriller is the best selling album of all time, the man is up there with Elvis, The Beatles, I can't name many bigger stars. A very sad loss.
I have to say I get incredibly, frustrated, by people who just don't like him because of what the media says about him.
It's the same for people who don't like Bush. I'm not particular to either, but really you need to get your own opinions before you go bashing someone who was incredibly brilliant and incredibly talented.
Really sometimes you need to put yourself in his shoes. He was given the title "the king of pop". Upholding that title can begin to bear down on anyone. I think he made mistakes, sometimes some big ones, but dude, the guy's dead, I should think there are numerous other chances to say **** about him, aside from the day after his death.
