I think we all should get this out in the open. It's been discussed as of what had happen to Peter when he injected himself with the formula.
People have said, Mimicry, Flight, or all of his powers back?
Well, it's not proven that he's gotten all of them but it's been semi-proven that he's gotten his Mimicry back and yeah, he has flight back. (How dull.)
Personally, I think he just got his mimicry back and absorbed Nathan's ability but of course, as always people will argue and disagree!
So, let's voice the opinions on the shows instigator of events!
I find it impossible that Peter's only ability will be flight, that is pretty dull indeed. From what we've observed from the show itself, powers that come naturally or formula-induced all lead back to the person's subconcious or personality or insert-correct-term-here, recall whatever Matt said about what power Ando might get in the last episode. Therefore, the formula injection doesn't give random abilities, but the power given is dependent on the person. Since Peter had mimicry before, he'll have it again.

Totally agreed. Peter got his natural power back, (MIMICRY). And he started from zero, he could flew because of Nathan's power.

Re: Peter Petrelli.
I concur. A metahuman with a natural ability who loses it then takes the Formula will regain their natural ability. In Peter's case, the ability to copy powers.

I concur, I think he just has flight back. The real way to answer the question will be to see if the scratch on the right side of his face healed at the end of Season III after he and Nathan exited the building. I think I remember seeing blood on his face, I'll check the episode tonight on DVR and see what I can find out.
He got his original power back but has to start from scratch. Because Nathan was right there, Peter was able to absorb his ability right away.
I have been wondering, he obviously has the ability to fly again, but does he also have pyrokinesis? Flint was in close proximity to Peter as well before he flew out of the building with his brother. I think we will see that he has those two powers in the beginning of Fugitives. What do you all think?

Very good point. I think that he doesn't realize he has it because he wasn't paying attention at the time to Flint, but, if he has Flint's ability too, wouldn't he have Mohinders? He was there as well.
