All About The ShowFor all news, stories, and discusions concerning the show. DO NOT: I REPEAT, DO NOT: MAKE THREADS ABOUT SPECIFIC EPISODES HERE. THERE IS A SEPARATE (BELOW) FORUM FOR THAT.
I guess this can go here cause it is news about the show. Kinda. I guess I'll let Sam decide. ;-)
I'm sp proud of myself. I was able to convince my brother, his girlfriend, two people at work and a friend online to start watching Heroes. Me, my bro and his girfriend watched seasons 1 and 2 on dvd and then caught up with season 3 online. Two of my work friends rented the seasons at the video store while the other took my word on what a great show it was and brought season 1 and 2 for herself. So far all of them have completed seasons 1 and 2 and are soon to start on season 3 online or already have. I'm so excited because now I have more people to talk Heroes with!!!!!
Yeah it's in the right forum. Don't worry about it.
As for building the Heroes fanbase - that's something that definitely needs to be done seeing as how the ratings have gone down this season. If this keeps up, Heroes might not make it past four seasons. Hell, NBC might cut the cord after THIS season if Fugitives doesn't pick up higher ratings.

Whether or not it was exciting for us, or for them they need to get the money and if the show isn't bringing in the viewers they won't want to air it anymore because it'll be a wasted spot every monday night they can put another show in it. Personally, if they don't like how it goes then they should just move it to another spot on the weekly listings. They'd have to try more and more spots before they would eventually just cut it off.
For building the fanbase though, I have the whole season 3 on my iPhone so I watch it in school with people I know and they start to catch on themselves. It works out well.

Exactly!!!
All heroes needs is more promotion!! :o
They brought Bryan Fuller back to please the media critics, so that should lessen all the criticism the show has been getting. The problem with the net is that as soon as one known critic starts bitching about something, it becomes a virus and pretty soon everyone is aping the same criticism just to "fit in". Fuller should shut them up, and now maybe they'll start talking positive things about it again, which should, once more, create a more "positive" virus. Even if the show's ratings are poor, the fact that so many "industry people" (i.e. the TV critics) are down on it makes it 20 times worst. So, if the ratings don't improve, but all the critics stop bagging on it, it could lessen the impact of the average ratings enough to get another season or two out of the show. Hey, in this day and age of TV, getting five seasons out of ANY show is a miracle!
Well, yesterday on CNN it was funny because they were saying, it's cheaper to make reality TV shows then scripted, one hour shows (Heroes, CSI, House, etc) so it got me thinking that if the Economy doesn't pick up (meaning world economy) are all we gonna see is reality and news?

Short answer: yes. But that would probably happen even if the economy was doing well. Scripted shows simply cost more than reality shows. If a scripted show that's fairly expensive to produce (i.e. Heroes) sees its ratings dip, then networks will immediately try to find an alternative that will make them more money. Their solution is usually a reality show. It's unfortunate, but that's just how it is nowadays.
