So, I was sitting here looking at the Alternate Universe forums and I kept thinking about a good AU that would bring some interesting role play. I was more or less thinking a Medieval type story line where it's all about Kings, Queens and battles for that. Or, we could also change it up a bit and make it so the European settlers in Canada and the United States at this time in the world could have super powers, and so did the Indians so we could change it so they have some battle or something to claim the land. I'm just trying to put ideas down to bring about more role play for the AU sections.

My personal thoughts: I don't really know much about medieval history or history in general, so I'd be pretty horrible (more than usual?) at that. If one of those RPs popped up I'd have to stand back and observe for a while before I jump in.

As for throwing one of my ideas in, maybe do a Heroes-style "future" RP, where everyone can bring in (possible) fast-forwarded versions of their characters, where the characters become heroes or villains, become more proficient/familiar with their powers, etc.

We've done two major future AUs.

The first of which lasted for months and was a rather awesome story telling experience if I do say so myself. We unfortunatly havn't had a story big enough to warrent a really good one since then. Just future isn't enough. The last time it was based off events that actually happened in the RP, we did it in a way where we went to the future as it was then someone changed the present to fix it. But we continued to paly out the future anyway.

Blowing up New York was fun. As was starting a civil war.
