Maybe its just me but episode 8 just showed me sylars true power.
Before we have all understood it to be "understanding how things work". To me this is why he needed the brain to know how to use the ability - he sees how their brain works and replicates it. Idk if this is universally understood or just my theory but to continue
HRG, noah, whatever you wanna call him, said in episode 8 that his power was " to transfer power from one vessel to the other ". This seems different to me because I'm not sure he would necessarily need the brain to do this - so I'm assuming he doesn't know that that is his power.
Does this sound right or am I just coming out of the blue with this cause no one mentioned (that I've seen) that we really understood sylar's power this episode. What we thought was ability to understand is actually the ability to transfer powers - like his father and brother, which makes his power to transfer powerful more likely/sensical
Noah said, we need to see him kill, so, his powers also is the hunger of knowing, and in order to know, he has to see the brain. That is how he transfer the power, from one vessel to another. At least that is what I understood.
Sylar transfers the power from one vessel to another.
If this is true then i wonder if Sylar has to be one of the vessels. I mean so far he takes the abilities himself but is it possible he can transfer them between two other vessels? Could he take Claire and Meredith and tranfer their abilities so that meredith is a healer and claire is a flame thrower. To me that would make sense of the transfer power from one vessel to another. Am I making any sense?!
makes sense, but that is going to be depends of the writes, maybe in season 4 or 5. However, and I insist, for me, Sylar have to touch in order to transfer those powers, vessel to vessel, the path is the touch of Sylar.
Wow I just got. Revelation due to ds25's post - your probably right ! One vessel to another vessel...he could be one but doesn't have to be...
Last I checked he has a brother that recently lost his powers...hmm.. See where I'm going with this
So wait Sylar is going to transfer his fathers abilities back to Peter, I don't know I think I prefered it when he could only take them for himself
Well like kaotic said Sylar's changing. he becomming kind of a good guy now that he's discovered his real family. We didn't know that in the beginning when he was slicing heads off that he had struggled with the nature of what he was doing. The fact that he feels guilty about it makes him interesting because he seemed so heartless in season 1 and 2. I personally love it.
And it would be cool he could tranfer Peter's powers back.
