Matt and Daphne

I'm confused about something. In the beginning of the season we saw Future Peter shoot Nathan and then send Matt to Africa so he wouldn't tell on him. While Matt was doing his spirit walk we saw his future with Daphne and their baby along with Molly. We also saw the future where everyone had abilities and Claire was bad and Sylar domesticated with a son.

If Matt had never had the spirit walk he would've never known that Daphne was suppose to be his wife. What would've caused them to hook up in the original timeline?

Also was Matt able to see what was going on with Peter, Claire and Gabriel?

I think Future Peter sent him there for a reason.

That's an old school fiction conceit called "the self-fulfilling prophecy". Because you know something is supposed to happen, you make sure it happens; it also works if you know something is supposed to happen, but you try to avert it, but instead makes it happen. Same deal. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think Matt was supouse to meet Daphne anyway, because Daphne tried to enroll Matt, even if he wound go to Africa. The only difference is that... Matt now knows about his own future. Is like, cheating in a midterm (when you know already the answers). But nothing changes.
Also, I dont think Matt saw what happend with Peter, Gabriel, and Claire, however, he knew, that Daphne, went to California lwith Claire looking for Peter, and for the news, he knew that it was a blast. etc, etc.
