An old man voice: The supposed continent of Atlantis has always been a big mystery, was it really there, if so, why did it sink?
3 to 4 thousands years before christ this empire was the most powerful one in the world. The continent of Atlantis wasnt as big as one might think. It wasnt bigger then 150 square miles. Atlantis had a huge fortress in the centre that also had a town centre in the middle of it and the surroundings were occupied by farmers. The buildings in the fortress was fascinating, it reminded of the ancient greeks buildings but still wasn't completely like it. The buildings were unbelievably huge and still wonderful. They were decorated with patterns that now would be classed as ancient looking. The reason for this mighty empires progress was because of what atlanteans called "Helper"s. They were responsible for everything from war to helping the farmers. These helpers were described with these words "He made it rain from the clear sky", "He shouted in a way that made the enemies crumble before him", "I saw two helpers helping when the fortress were being constructed, one of them made a gesture with his hand and the huge block lifted from the ground, then one of the usual constructors just pushed on it and it moved like it was like a floating feather" and maybe the most interesting "a man who could move things with just thinking it, this wasnt like the other man who just made the block float."
Who was these helpers? How did they do what they did? I guess we will never know.


So there is an introduction to the SL, documentary style. The continent of Atlantis has it perfect, the buildings are strong, the farmers has it good because they could have any weather they liked, they had an almost invincible army and so on because of a few Metas that helped Atlantis by orders from the king of Atlantis.
When you join this SL, you could of course be a meta but if so, youll have to be a helper, maybe you came to Atlantis to get recruited as a helper or you already were a helper. Because Atlantis is always on the look for new Metas. Just visit the "Helpers office", personal at the office will help you.
This story will slowly reveal a meta version of how the whole continent sinked.
Just try to keep it ancient, if you want a better picture of the city.

Just think that there are farmers and their house behind the "camera".

The names would be better if they were ancient like Aram, Alun, Adena, Arlette.. You could just make up a name like Khar-El, Mah-Rel or something... I think you get it.

Aram
Aram walked through the castle halls in the head castle that was formed like a pyramid, the halls were lighted up by what seemed to be, blue torches. The floor was made with marble. Two men was following him, they were guards. Aram walked in to another huge room in the castle and saw the throne were an old man was sitting and thinking deeply with his hand stroking his beard. He saw Aram directly when he walked in with the guards. Aram stopped before him and kneeled in front of the man.
Stand up, stand up. The old man said with a rusty voice and made a gesture for him to rise. The old man looked fascinating, his hair and beard were completely white, there was an overflow of wisdom in his eyes, despite his old age he looked very, very wise and friendly and his robe reminded of the ancient Greeks clothes but still had a mix of what Muslims wear. He looked at the guards and said. Helpers, you can go now. The helpers slowly replied, Yes, my king. turned around and slowly walked away. The old man walked down from his throne and tied his hands behind his back and observed Aram. My helpers said that you are special, like them and that you wanted to be recruited by me. The king said.
It is true, my king. Aram said and still looking down on the floor.
Look at me, my son. The king said and Aram slowly looked up. I can sense that you are special. He said. What can you do, show it to me?
Aram walked backwards a bit and opened his hand revealing a flame from it while the other hand was turning into ice. After a while they became normal and Aram began to glow, more and more, like a less brighter sun. He stopped suddenly, he didn't want to disturb the king.
That is extraordinary, my son. Youre the first one Ive met with more then one. The kings eyes glowed. He looked really happy. I think we can have use of you. The king said. Adil! He yelled to a man on the other side of the hall. Show Aram here to the Helpers residence. He said and nodded against Aram when Adil came.
Yes my king! The man said. The king put his hand on Aram and said.
You will be greatly rewarded for your help, my son. He said and let go. Adil then put his hand on Arams shoulder and they disappeared.

Timaeus was in the busy market place. It was full of people hustling and bustling about on the sunny spring afternoon. Stall keepers yelling about their offers as loud as they possibly could over the noise of the other keepers and the crowds chatter. Max was picking out some apples and oranges before bartering with the seller and depositing them in a small hamper basket under his arm. He thanked the stall keeper and made his way over to the a stall a few stalls down for some drink.

"A bottle of the..." Timaeus pondered, "...Arcadian Rosé, please."

The man looked up on the shelf behind him and spied the bottle. He grabbed a small step ladder and climbed it, retrieving the bottle and climbing back down to Timaeus.

"That'll be 30 Altar's." he said holding out his free palm whilst he spied the coin pouch on his customers waist

"30? Pffft...20!" Timaeus replied

"28!" Counter the man

"22!"

"26!"

"25, my final offer!" Timaeus said as he began to fake as if he was about to leave

"Done!" the man said before Timaeus smirked and they exchanged the money for the wine.

Once he was finished, Timaeus turned around to find the love of his life, Dexia, who had come out shopping with him, eyeing the jewellery on the stall opposite. She seemed particularly interested in what appeared to be a crystal necklace.

"See anything you fancy, Lass?" the stall keeper asked

"Oh erm...no just browsing!" Dexia replied however her eyes remained fixed on the greenish stone.

"A fine piece of craftsmanship that it, Lass." he said as he picked up the necklace and began to dangle it infront of her, "Carved from a piece of the Orichalcos Stone itself."

"The what?" Dexia asked

"An ancient stone high up in the mountains to the west. Surges with energy giving off this green glow." Dexia then noticed that it was in fact faintly glowing, "Try it on, my dear!"

He moved behind her to fasten it around her neck before she moved infront of the small mirror at the side.

"Oh...its beautiful!" Dexia remarked

"How much?" Timaeus asked coming out from no where.

"100 Altar's" He said before Dexia's mouth dropped open

"That's extortionate!" she said

"60" Timaeus began bartering once again

"Done!" Timaeus said before forking out more gold-looking coins to the salesman

"Oh, 'Maeus you didn't have to!" Dexia exclaimed as she began to admire the stone shard.

"Whatever my baby wants, my baby gets!" he replied before kissing her cheek and taking her hand

Dexia just blushed and basked in his presence before noticing the basket in his other hand

"What have you got their? And where are you leading me?" she asked

"A picnic" he said before her face lit up, "in the Menusia Gardens."

The Menusia Gardens was the most beautiful place in all of Atlantis and the most peaceful.

She moved up on her toes to reach his lips and kissed them passionately before they continued on to the Gardens.

The couple decided to take a detour through an alley way when they were confronted by a group of 3 men in hoods.

"Hand over all your money, buddy!" one of them said brandishing a knife

"Let us pass!" Timaeus demanded, "We don't want any trouble!"

The guy just seemed to ignore him as he was too busy eyeing up Dexia

"Nice necklace, honey!" he slurred sleazily as he half admired the stone, half stared down Dexia's more than ample cleavage. He grabbed her arm.

"Take your hands off her!!!" Timaeus yelled before he dropped the basket ready to fight only to be restrained by the other two men.

Dexia struggled and managed to free a hand which she used to slap her capture across the face with. The man wasn't pleased. He pulled her closer to him and plunged the knife into her stomach.

"NOOOO!!!!!" Timaeus yelled as he struggled to free himself.

The man let Dexia fall to the floor with a thud before he turned to Timaeus still brandishing the knife.

"Say 'Hi!' to your girl for me!" the man said baring his yellow teeth before he stabbed Timaeus in the stomach.

Something was wrong Timaeus felt no pain. He looked up to find the man staring at his blade which was now completely bent. The other two where just as astonished as the first man was. That gave Timaeus his opening. They were to distracted to notice their grip loosen. Timaeus broke free and smacked the two at his sides in the face with a metallic sounding clunk. They were down nursing severe wounds as Timaeus examined his fist. His skin overall looked the same but around his knuckles and over the top of his hand was what looked like blue-grayish scales. He lifted his top where there was a whole from the knife, however no wound, only the same strange scales over his belly.

He looked up at the last man before he grabbed him and smacked him hard in the balls and then uppercutted his chin. The guy was bleeding badly on the floor. The other two staggered up and ran after they grabbed their companion and left to nurse their wounds. Timaeus attention turned to his scales. They where hard as diamonds, if not harder and shone in the little light that was in the alley before they disappeared and he remembered.

"Dexia!" he yelled before he ran over to her shape and collapsed by her lifeless body.

She wasn't moving, wasn't breathing. He checked her pulse...nothing. He watched as his love bled to death in the alley before he found his voice

"HELP!!!!!!!!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!" He yelled before he lay down with her, propping himself up against the wall, holding her close and cried as he continued wailing for help.

As the boat pulled into the Atlantian dock, Priscilla pulled down her hood. Huh, so this is the Almighty Atlantis. She thought. She pulled her hood back up over her face, slipped off the boat, and joined the throngs of people in the busy city. I wonder why they want me here... She thought, looking around at the local wares. People at stands constantly yelled back and forth to each other, trying to sell their wares lower than the next. "Looks like they aren't SO advanced..." Priscilla didn't enjoy being surrounded by large groups, so she soon found an alleyway amongst the maze. She sighed, took a look around, and pulled a scroll out from the cloak. "Locate and return the Lost Rosetta Scrolls. Kill anyone that gets in your way." She read the parchment over and over again. She once again sighed. "I guess I have to do what I'm ordered to do..."

Theresa was looking outside their window, she was trying to see if her parents that adapted her went to the market to open there stall. As she saw her parents were out of sight she hurriedly grab her cloak and put on with her hood.

"It's my chance" Theresa smirked and playfully left their house and went straight to the Atlantis Shore where she always spend her time. Just thinking and trying to figure out everything that is happening around her. She also enjoyed using her ability, being able to control water and any fluid is a lot of fun but she secretly using her ability so she won't be revealed and recruited as a "Helper".

As she arrived at the shore, she looked around and check if there is anyone around the area to make sure that she can use her ability freely.

"I think its safe" Theresa removed her cloak and try to concentrate and walked in the waters of Atlantis. She was able to walk above the water like walking in the land.

"Let's try something new then" She waved her hand and a whip of water suddenly elevate around her. She kept on moving her hands like she was dancing in a lovely rhythm. The water around her was floating like velvet as she dance around the shores of Atlantis.

OOC: Thought there is alot of press from the society, the king hasnt set a rule that says that every meta should be as a helper..

Aram was walking around in the streets of Atlantis with another woman called Zafra. She was a healer and Aram was selected as her partner to patrol the streets with. He had met two of the the helpers, Zafra and another man he didnt know the name of which moved things with his mind. Zafra and Aram walked the streets while chatting with eachother. Aram noticed how wonderful Zafra looked, she looked like she was part arab but without the dark skin. Her black hair looked more black on her white shoulders. Aram and Zafra had on the official Helpers clothes. Blue robes goving over one shoulder and covering the front body and the whole area from the hip down.
So, Ive heard you have more then one. Zafra said expecting Aram knew what she was talking about.
Yes, Ive collected them throughout my life. Aram said and smiled at Zafra. They were walking through the market place.
Collected? Zafra asked, slightly shocked.
Yes, my original ability is to be able to steal others. He said and saw how Zafras eyes widened. No, no. He said and laughed abit. I wont take any from you, Ive collected these abilities from bad people, from really bad people. He said and calmed Zafra down.
Oh, alright... Zafra said and they walked quietly for abit. Dont you ever get tempted? Zafra said and Aram suddenly stopped. He looked at Zafras eyes.
I can see peoples auras and when I take them I take their ability, at first I was killing them too, as a side effect but overtime learned not to.He looked one more time at Zafra from head to toe adnd said. Your aura is amazing, its green and I can feel the kindness in it. Even the most depressing Aura is tempting to me but I know have to control it. He said and looked more decided then ever. And I am doing it. He said and they began to walk again. They didnt talk for abit and later they began chatting again and the subject came to the king.
He is a great man. Zafra said. Treating every citizen in this city as his own child. Zafra said.
I know, his aura was one of the most amazing ones ive ever seen. Aram said. It was, really... Amazing.. And it wasnt just one color as it is on others. He looked abit confused. He had several colors mixing with eachother. He stopped and looked at Zafra. What can he do?
We dont know. Zafra said. He has just used his ability once and that was before anyone of us helpers was born except the general of the armies who is probably fifty times older then the king, the general cant die, thats why he was chosen to be one. Zafra said.
How many "helpers" are there? Aram asked.
Probably about 30. Zafra said and they heard a help for scream in a backalley. They ran fast towards it and saw a man holding up a woman that was bleeding. Aram kneeled down and said:
Heal her, Zafra. Aram took the man away from the woman and saw how Zafra put her hand on the wound. But.. Nothing happened. Zafra looked at Aram.
She is.. Her eyes slowly filled up with tears. Dead. She almost squealed out. Aram looked at the man and asked him.
What happened? Even if he saw on the mans Aura that he was "special.

Timaeus struggled free from Aram and pushed Zafra away from Dexia's body before he began to hold her. Protecting her as if she was still with him.

"We...we were ambushed" Timaeus stuttered through the tears that were streaming from his eyes, "We were only passing through.. we were off to the Menusia Gardens for a picnic. It...it was her favourite place in the whole of Atlantis so i thought why not? You know"

Timaeus continued to hold Dexia's lifeless body close to his heart, staining his clothing with her crimson blood, but he didn't care. He loved her so much

"They...they tried to rob us. I was only trying to protect her...AND THEY TOOK HER AWAY FROM ME!!!!!" He then stood up and Dexia's body fell to the floor before he began to yell at the top of his lungs towards the heavens, "I WILL HAVE VENGANCE!!!!!! I SWEAR TO GOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!"

He then realised he had dropped his lover's body and went back to holding her, as if she was just sleeping, about to wake at any moment. He began sobbing harder and his tears fell soaking Dexia's clothes and mixing with her escaping blood.

Zafra stood on the side while Aram got close to Timaeus.
Lets get her body away from here to the morgue or something. He said, this mans aura looked and felt like hardness? Come with us and youll describe the robbers to a helper and they will look out for them. He walked towards Timaeus put his hand on his shoulder. I know how hard this is but we got get here out of here, you want help with carrying her? Aram asked. Zafra was looking at the scene with her eyes filled with tears. I.. I tried to heal her. Zafra squeezed out. Aram turned to Zafra and said, It wasnt your fault Zafra. He looked back at Timaeus. So, what do you say?

"I...I'll carry her myself!" Timaeus said wipping a tear from his cheek, "I don't need any help"

He scooped up Dexia's lifeless body and awaited for the Helpers to lead him to the morgue. He was upset, and angry, both with Dexia's killer and himself for not being able to protect her. His muscles tensed up and he felt them harden again as his ability began to resurface underneath his clothes.

They walked with Timaeus through the market place. Everyone that saw him carry the body gave small screams and looked scared as they walked but no one asked question because two helpers were involved. They came to the morgue and put the womens body there. They covered her whole body with a white blanket. Timaeus looked deeply in the dead womens face while they covered it. Aram put his hand on his shoulder.
Come on, lets go to the helpers office so you can describe the robber. Aram said. You remember how the look like right?


King Kashekim Nedakh
Behind a cliff behind the shore where Theresa was a man came out. It was the king. He tied his hands behind his back and watched how Theresa used her ability. He wasn´t there to recruit her, just to notify that she could be a helper. He waited for her to be finished and see him waiting. She should be pretty shocked when she saw the king of atlantis standing and observing her.

OOC: It will later be revealed how the King could found Theresa like that.. and Claire, just so you know everybody is pretty respectful to the king so keep Theresas talking at that level..

Priscilla

After what seemed like hours of wondering the vast city of Atlantis, Priscilla had found herself at the ocean. "Great...how'd I get here?" She asked herself. As her eyes wondered along the shoreline something odd caught her attention. It looked as if a girl was standing on the water, making it dance. "By the Gods..." Priscilla murmured as she slowly crept toward the floating girl. The cold ocean water licking at her feet caused Priscilla to nearly gasp, but she held it in. Priscilla was now mere feet away from the girl. "What are you?" Priscilla said, showing the sheath of her blade from beneath her cloak. "Are you a demon or God?"
