I think its pretty stupid too..
OH MY GOOD!! IM UNKILLABLE.. I HATE MYSELF.. I AM ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL PERSONS IN THE WORLD.. I HATE IT.. I WILL LIVE FOREVER.. I HATE IT TOO..
I mean who thinks that? Peter did the same thing.. He didnt want his abilities which was pretty stupid..
Claire feels that for example her hand burn but the pain doesnt hurt her.. Its like the brain says.. this should hurt, but it doesnt..
If you paid attention to the previous episodes she stated why this upset her. She,a afraid if she can no longer feel pain, will it be only a matter of time until she can feel nothing at all. Meaning emotions or the warm sun on her face and such.
I don't know about you, but I can name a number of things which I would be eternally upset to lose the feeling of.
You know it could just be side effect of her ability.. I wouldnt think after getting hit in the face 4000 times she wouldnt stop feeling love or hate or other feelings but just the pain in her face
Feeling pain is a part of what makes you feel human. And I think it's important for her to feel, because we see in the future that she is a completely different, much colder person

This is downside that many people don't realize about the fictional vampire characters they seem to love so much. When you lose all your normal emotional states then you are no longer human and, therefore, are no longer who or what you think you are. A lack of stable self-identity can be...extremely upsetting. It is also a great disadvantage--you do not logically know how you will react to situations anymore and cannot make reasonable decisions.

I concur wholeheartedly.

Loss of humanity aside, Claire needs to grow a pair. Which she obviously has in the future, so obviously this whole lack of sensation is a good thing right?
