Alexander Goodman
In this world there is one thing that is certain: change.
It is something we all innately fear, something that few of us have learned to embrace. The comfort of the familiar is something each of us desperately clings to, however there are those who prescribe to the theory that the forward progression of man is part of evolution and therefore inevitable.
What happens when this change effects those closest to us? What happens when change isn’t always for the better?
Now that the number of individuals with abilities is increasing, tension is beginning to thicken and trust is something that can be malleable and bought. Who are we to trust? Our loved ones? Our friends? Our family? Who among us is being manipulated and which of us are still the people we would trust with our lives? All of us are effected by change and the global effects the world has to offer.
Alliances are becoming blurred and motives are questionable. Can we really say for sure who is our ally and who is our foe when impersonators and telepaths can change how a person thinks in just seconds? Are these changes sincere or are they forged by a hand greater than the average man? Is it destiny that shapes us or the greed of those who have a lust for power?
Before we know it, the people we once knew as friends are no longer people we can but our faith in; they’re a pantomime of what once was and chilling foreshadow of what might be.
Previously...
Alliances were formed, the dead rose and a prison full of villains each with their very own devastating ability were released onto the world.
The end of the world was prevented by flying a jet into the path of a nuclear missile, and having stopped Carvel and experienced the deaths of Mitch and Isabelle, Chris, Riley and Jack have found themselves with a new mission: saving Riley, and taking down as many inmates as they can.
Transmuter Paul has charged himself with taking care of each and every inmate, but what will happen when he comes across Ben Callahan, a meta with the ability to melt all non-organic matter?
Only time will tell what the future holds in store for our heroes...
