So I was thinking last night about season 1 when Nathan is captured by the Haitian and Noah and there is a scene when they are talking to Nathan outside and Nathan flies away to get away. How is Nathan able to fly away when the Haitian is there. Isn't that the whole point of the Haitian.
Also they brought in the character last season of the girl who could learn things just by watching them on TV. What happened to her? Not that she was that interesting of a character.
Apparently poor Monica died in the fire in New Orleans. What a shame, too--she had a very interesting ability.
What? Monica's alive. The writers just don't want to showcase her this season because the fans didn't like her. I think it's the same situation with West.

Really? Weird. That doesn't make any sense. Why didn't fans like her? I thought she was an okay character. *shrug*

They're not showing him because showing him would mean also showing Monica, and they don't want that. I also suspect it has something to do with Noah Gray-Cabey growing up way faster in real life than his character is supposed to on the show. I mean, the show (from season 1 to now) has gone through....what.....like a year or so? Noah has grown over three years in that span (with puberty, no less), so I think he's literally outgrowing his character.
i don't believe that the Haitian can only negate natural abilities.
i think he let Nathan get away because they had already done the experiments on him.
The suspicion now is the The Haitian can negate only natural abilities and Nathan is an artificially-enhanced metahuman.
If that is true, then Nathan, Traci, Barbara (whom we have not met yet), etc. should be immune to the power negation.

I think your right. That is the only way the can explain how Nathan got away. The Haitian did look a bit confused when Nathan was still able to fly off.
