So yea tonights episode was great and FINALLY, father petrelli has come! And he seems very powerful. What do you think his power is? Is it possible that he is like Peter except his power is more advanced?

What they said is.. Father Petrelli didnt have any power, NO POWER AT ALL. However, with that formula, he maybe got himself a cool power, but is not "a natural".
That is certainly a good theory. I am taking back my thoughts on him having the same power as Peters. Perhaps his power maybe is to contol the brain. Its almost as if its a combination of matt parkman, the puppet man, and the haitian. I mean we know he made angela stop moving completely and he was able to talk to maury through his mind. We also know that he can't heal himself considering he had a hole in his neck. Wouldn't you consider this to be the greatest power of them all?

Um don't be so fast to say all that. It seems far more likely that Maury is the one who incapacitated Angela. Yes, Arthur was the one in the "dream", but the point of Maury's nightmares is that he can make them whatever personal hell he wants; more importantly he could then send a message to Angela from Arthur in spite of Arthur's current... issues. As for the mental conversation, it could just as easily be Maury reading Arthur's thoughts to create a substitute for actual voice. Occam's Razor tells us that we have not yet seen any evidence of Arthur's ability, if he has one.

Yes, while those are plausible explanations, it still doesn't explain the fact that Maury was terrified of him. I mean, if Arthur had no power at all, Maury could easily manipulate him and make him do whatever he wants. Yet, Maury is in a sense "controlled" by Arthur.
edit*
Also do you remember in the very beginning of season 1. Angela was telling Peter that his father was a very poweful man and that he was "special" too. I think if I remember correctly, she said that he was sooo poweful that he killed himself. However he didn't die all the way, obviously. And I also remember Mr. Linderman telling Nathan that Arthur had Great Power.

Re: I knew it...i knew it!
Angela saw Arthur in a vision through use of her own power. She was trying to figure out who was behind things and what was going on. When vision-Arthur said "you won't even be able to move" he meant it figurative, as if playing a game of chess and Angela has been checkmated.
Maury isn't so much "afraid" of Arthur as is he...deferential. Arthur is the leader and Maury just works for him. Yes, Maury is a telepath; Arthur need only think his half of the conversation.
Arthur may wind up being a F. W. Murnau-type villain, the seemingly handicapped villain who still manages to be able to threaten everyone.
There is no way to even begin to guess what his ability might possibly be.

Oh yes, I'm not denying that Arthur is a very powerful man. I'm just saying, he doesn't have telepathy 3.0. I'm sure that Arthur's ability will be revealed, but not yet. They need to leave some revelations for the rest of the volume.
EDIT: See, in light of recent events though, one has to wonder which of Angela's dreams are her precognitive dreams, and which ones are Maury's telepathic nightmares. After the whole "you won't even be able to move", Angela seemed more than shocked. Not to mention that "Arthur" spoke of getting rid of her in the dream/nightmare. And Maury mentioned in his report to Arthur that he'd taken care of Angela. I'm pretty sure he did the same thing to her as he did to Molly.

I am not so sure about that considering they showed Angela frozen in her chair right after he said that. She only moved her eyes around and eventually they even stopped showing. I think if the writers were to try and hint that it was figurative, they wouldn't have shown that scene right after he said that.

lol yeah I see what you are saying now. And that is actually a pretty good theory you have. There really isn't any way of telling which dreams are Angela's, and which ones are Maury's.
