All About The ShowFor all news, stories, and discusions concerning the show. DO NOT: I REPEAT, DO NOT: MAKE THREADS ABOUT SPECIFIC EPISODES HERE. THERE IS A SEPARATE (BELOW) FORUM FOR THAT.
So, here's something to think about. We have three Petrelli boys: Nathan, Peter, and Gabriel (Sylar)
Sylar takes others' powers by figuring them out, seeing how people tick.
Peter takes others' powers by developing an emotional connection to them, how they make him feel.
And Nathan... can fly. Short end of the genetic stick much?
But Nathan recently found God. So what if that becomes his vehicle to take others' powers like his brothers? They each represent one way of understanding people: intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
That would set Nathan and Peter up to face off against one another in the future, after taking sides, while Sylar/Gabriel basically withdraws from the conflict, running away from what he is.
Re: Petrelli Bros theory (speculation, no spoiler)
Are you saying using religion as a means of manipulating people and therefore "gaining" powers, by indoctrinating others? Because that could make metaphorical sense. Otherwise, no way in hell. Nathan can fly, every litter has its runt.

Well, I think the reason why Nathan has the "lesser" power is because he was given the power through DNA manipulation. I'm pretty sure that's what Angela said in the preview for next week's ep (I could be wrong though). Sylar and Peter were probably naturals.

Either hypothesis is valid. If Nathan is artificial then he gets one relatively mundane ability, albeit a useful one. (of course, any ability is useful....but I digress)
It is possible that mutated metahumans could produce natural metahuman offspring, which would explain Linderman wanting to pair Nathan with first Jessica and now Tracy.
