Cpl. Alex Wilson Deck
The two were alone. Normally when a Corporal spoke to a Sergeant, he would had to adress him as Sir. But Corporal Alex Wilson and Sergeant Danny Dixon were long time friends. Infact, Danny only had his men call him Sir was when a more superior officer than himself was with them. The squad that Danny commanded existed of two Privates (one of which was a radio operator,) and another Corporal. There were also rumours of another Private joining the squad.
"Danny, you never explained why we were going to Europe." Alex told his friend.
Danny sighed. "The British needed support. We're that support." He replied as the two gazed out to sea. Suddenly, Danny spotted land. "Land ho' Alex. Go tell the men." "Sir, yes Sir" Alex responded as the ships Admiral walked past. Alex made his way down into the ship. Once he reached where his and a few other squads were sleeping. He made his way over to where his squad was. "Guys, just got word from Searge, Were landing tomorrow."

"Oh to be nothing"
Major John Smith had woken up early that morning.
He quickly got dressed into his uniform. He polished his badge and pinned it onto his chest. He was proud to have been promoted to a Major. His father was a Major in WWI and as a child, he loved it when his father told him stories about the war.
John felt as if he was carrying the honour of his family. He smirked and walked out onto the deck.
"Alex." John shouted. They were great friends, him and Alex. They were best friends since High School and lived right opposite each other back at home. They were the troublemakers. John patted Alex on the back. "You alright man?"
][ Alex left the deck, but i'll play off of it. ][
Cpl. Alex Wilson
"Sir! Yes Sir!" Alex shouted with a salute as a senior officer walked past. The one thing Alex didn't like about the army was having to call a senior officer Sir. Especcialy if they were less then five years older than him. "You know, it only just dawned on me that we may never see home again, Sir" He told John. The Admiral kept walking past Alex for some reason the boy did not know. "Owell, we should hit land today. Any ideas were we're headed after we land?" He asked his friend.
