One of the best ways of finding out about new music is word of mouth. Some of my favourite music was discovered this way, so now's your chance to share a band or two with the board.

Try and leave out the Britney's & Christina's, we all know who they are. Perhaps someone who isn't mainstream or is only successful in your home country.

A description of the type of music they make would be great too!

'True Believer'

Canadian Electropop group, which debuted with their album 'Galore' last year. Their singles, 'Take It Like A Man' & 'I Get Around' barely touched the top 100 here in the UK, but they truly are an undiscovered gem.

'All Good Things'

Wait! I know, I know, but her latest album is truly great. None of that bubblegum pop crap, she has changed a lot and is actually producing something which is listenable! Kinda folky, with a pop twinge. Try it before you slate it.

Coffee Shop Soundtrack


Pop-Rock Band. they recently released their second LP with Hopeless Records called "So Wrong, It's Right" (see my avatar?). This song was from their first EP, Put Up Or Sut Up, with Hopless, and one of two new tracks featured on the album. They've played on Warp Tour and was featured on Punk Goes Acoustic 2 with the other new song from Put Up Or Shut Up, "Jasey Rae." They recently premiered their latest video, "Six Feet Under The Stars" on MTV.

Local Hawaiian music.
This band was always a favorite of mine. The lead singer, Imua Garza, is a friend of my friend and I got to hang out with him for a bit. He's really cool and laid back and so is their music. They put out a new CD, OP VI, and released their Christmas CD, An Old Fashioned Christmas.

Heard this band through Myspace and liked what I heard. You're typical rock style with husband and wife on guitars. it's cool man!

Utada Hikaru:

Utada Hikaru is the Amercian J-Pop sensation(born in NY). She released her first CD in Japan at 16 and has been non-stop ever since. She tried her luck in America but because lack of promotion didn't acheive the success she has in Japan.
