This is interesting. Apparently Heroes creator Tim Kring is apologizing for how he has developed Season 2 over the last seven episodes. In a phone interview with Entertainment Weekly from the picket line (yes, Tim Kring is picketing his own show via the writers strike), Kring talks candidly about everything from poorly introducing the new [...]
I like that he's able to critically analyze his own work, but that alone should be enough for the respect of the fans. He doesn't need to apologize.
I think it is OK for him to apologize, but I completely agree that he deserves respect for analyzing his work and doing something to change it. Many people are stubborn and would rather go down with a sinking ship than change course.
You should read some of the reactions on the front page. People are so pissed off that Kring is apologizing, or that people even DARES criticize ANY aspect of Heroes Season 2, that they are going on vulgarity-filled rants. I've had to delete a ton of comments because of foul language. It's ridiculous how some people can't even realize that THE GUY WHO CREATED THE SHOW is saying Sorry, but they keep insisting it's all great, and if you don't agree, then you're an idiot, etc.
I guess this means West is going to die sooner rather than later. Hopefully the next love interest they introduce for Claire (because you know there WILL be another one ) will be a better character with a less boring backstory.

Re: Tim Kring Apologizes for Season 2 Mistakes
On the one hand, it is his show and so he may produce it however he pleases. However, his critique of his own show in so public a manner speaks to the honesty with which he wishes to produce his works. If he is sorry about the direction this season has taken, his fans should back him up.

LOL - really? I don't get it. I could go on an entire rant about people who blindly follow someone regardless of what they do (or don't do), but I promised not to get political on a board like this
hmmm, well im a die hard heroes fan. i still loved the second season of heroes, but there was something missing. the passion that went into every detail, maybe. from really cheesy backdrops, to "going nowhere" characters. now i know why there was something missing, and i think that its pretty cool that kring spoke up about it. he didnt really need to apologize. but, hey, i see this as him telling us that itll get better!
