Dear God I had no idea it was this hard to get this thing. I promised my niece I would get her one from her birthday, but I had no idea this thing is harder to get your hands on than the Holy Grail.

Anyone have any contacts to get me one? I'll pay full price and shipping and all that good stuff.

Is it really that hard for you to get one? I can just walk into my local GameStop right now and buy one. They have a ton in stock.

Well, if the fact that I just spent the last 3 days driving around Houston looking for one is any indication, Yes, it's THAT hard. Apparently the stores are only getting them in once or twice a month, and they sell out hours after the stores open. If you can believe it, there are still people camping out hours before the stores open to get one here.

they're all over the place here in florida. Surprisingly, blockbuster had some in stock the last time i went. I dont know why they're still so hard to find. Maybe its because christmas is coming around again and everyones buying them up. thats the only reason i see for them still being so rare. They've been out for about a year now.

Id try looking at all the generic places like Gamestop, EB Games, Walmart, Kmart, Target, Best Buy etc. If all else fails, you can always go the Amazon.com route but i dont know your time limit til the b-day.

I'm not sure if you guys have actually TRIED to buy them. I thought like you did, they're all over the place, until I actually went to go get them -- and they're nowhere. I finally ordered one from Amazon at a pretty huge price increase, but oh well, at least it's done and over with.

I see places have them on sale when I check out dealhack and websites like that, but I haven't really seen them in store. Granted, I don't shop for gaming consoles often, but when I do browse, I usually only see accessories.

I'm glad you were able to get it. The price increase is probably worth not having the hassle of searching anymore.

I'm not a big gamer myself, but everytime I go to the stores, I see PS3's and Game Cubes and what not stacked high. Plus you add that to the fact that the Wii has been out for a year and it just didn't seem logical that the thing would be so hard to find. Oh well.

Yeah, I wouldn't have thought it'd be that hard to find, either. I've been thinking about getting one, but I've bought so many other toys lately, I know it's probably not a good idea right now. So I guess it's good they're hard to find. If I decide to impulse buy it'll make it more difficult.

Did the PS3 do very well? I haven't heard much hype about it. It was so expensive, I couldn't imagine it being that big. Especially with the Wii and the x-box 360 at like half the price, but just as good, depending on what you want to do.

Its gotta be cause of the holidays are coming up. Lots of people must be giving them as gifts so they must be hard to find at the moment.
