I can’t escape this hell,
So many times I’ve tried,
But I’m still caged inside,
Somebody get me through this nightmare,
I can’t control myself
The streets were dim and dreary. Shadows slowly enveloped the city in darkness. Clouds rolled in ominously overhead, a deep rumble sounding from their grey mass. It was a particularly cold night, just warm enough for rain to still fall and avoid the chillling depths of white snow. A light drizzle fell from the dark heavens, singing a sad song as it dripped off rusty pipes. A bit of misty fog drifted from a narrow alley. It appeared to be from the sewers or something, but it was some form of human life. You could not exactly call such a low form of life human could you? Someone who just got by on what they could, slefishly taking lives along with them. It payed though, they deserved to die anyways right? Riley Walker was doing the world a favor by killing off people who had done wrong. Most of the ones she took from this life had abandonded their families, put children up for adoption, divorced ...all had left their close ones in some way and were destined to only cause hurt and despair to everyone's lives. So she ended it all with a single shot, buzzing almost silently through the rainy air. The bullet sliced a rain droplet in half before plummeting into a man's chest. He was startled at first, but withint seconds fell to the wet pavement, lifeless.
Aged converses strode out into the dimly lit street. It was a poor section of the city, unable to replace many of the dead bulbs hanging above. Hands were placed casually in a sleek black leather coat. Which ended at her waist, where a holster was tightly strapped to her hip. The coat was just long enough to cover it. Straight brown hair fell into her harsh blue eyes, numerous chains meant as necklaces glinting in the distant light. She kneeled down beside the man pulling out his wallet with an ID. Riley was sure her hands were covered with old gloves to avoid fingerprints. Pulling out a blue permanent markers she sketched a large royal blue check mark across his liscense. She then placed it in the middle of his chest and puled a red rose form inside her jacket. She placed that alongside the liscence. Then walked off towards the nearest bar.
That was another one checked off her list....
So what if you can see,
The darker side of me,
No one will ever change this animal I have become
and we believe,
It’s not the real me,
Aly needed some sort of way to escape, from all the drama. So she decided the best way to do this, was to go down to a local bar, get drunk, and go from there. She wasnt in the mood for hooking up tonight, just chilling and hanging out, even if she wasnt sober doing it. It was okay, she didnt have to wake up and remember it the next morning. She just needed a fix.
Aly chose a skimpy little outfit, and headed towards the bar. Skimpy was always good, in her opinion. It wasnt as bad as slutty, but showed just enough skin, to tease a bit.
Aly walked down the cold streets and walked to the bar. She saw the semi small line outside and she cut to the front, ignoring the rude glances and ignorant comments. Ali looked at the bouncer, who was all too fimilar with her. He gave her a sympathy smile and lifted up his velvet rope. Aly thanked him and walked in. She went over to the bar, before ordering a drink she looked around, and all the faces.
Hmm maybe i'll make a friend or two tonight She thought, before ordering 3 shots of vodka, for starters.
So then I was like "Avada Kedavra!" and he was like *dead*

Re: Chicago
OOC: Ooooh! Hi Ryu!! I am so introing Jack here
In the darkest corner of a bar, sat a man, he was leaning against the wall, no drink in hand, or even a cigarette. He sat there, eyes fixed on inhabitants of the bar. There was something different about him than half the other men inside the bar, leaning over half full alcoholic drinks, trying to forget their problems. One of the men sitting nearest to Jack Raiden looked over at him. Jack didn't budge, his eyes were staring front of him.
"Hey buddy, what's so interesting?" The drunken man asked, leaning over and snapping his fingers in front of Jack's eyes. Jack didn't respond, he didn't even give the man a look. "Hey, I'm talking to you." The man said now, shoving Jack's shoulder. He grinned, pushing him harder.
Jack's eyes slowly moved to focus on the man trying to get him to react. The man stopped shoving him and turned to some of the other guys to tell them. Before he even got a word out, his face made contact with the table. Jack held him down by the neck. The others jumped to their feet and lunged at him. Jack turned away from his target and kicked one of his attackers in the gut, then ducked a punch and elbowed one in the nose. The one with the, now broken nose, staggered back and fell. The other two came in for another attack. By now most of the people in the small bar were on their feet watching and some were getting ready to jump in on it.
Jack snatched a beer bottle from the table, he smashed the bottom and held the sharp part out in front of him. The two men backed up a bit, but the target turned around and aimed a punch at Jack's back, but Jack was too quick, he swiped the broken bottle across his face, causing his blood to splatter on his hand. He turned around and advanced on the others. They weren't sure what to do. But one was not finished, he stepped forward and then tried to sweepkick him. Jack kneed him in the gut, then the forehead. He fell and hit the table, a beer fell and spilled on his head. Jack dropped the beer bottle and proceeded to exit. His eyes were on the target still.
It was raining lightly outside, the puddles were disturbed by slow footsteps, heading for an alleyway. Jack turned and walked slowly down the alley, keeping an eye out behind him, he knew the target would follow. The gunshot would be heard out here and no one would know who it came from, there were so many heard along this road, no one cared anymore.
Right on time, a second pair of footsteps was heard behind him. The drunken leader of a small-time gang was following him, also known as the target. Jack ripped a gun from inside his coat and shot him, right between the eyes, the job was done. A shadowy figure seemed to come right from the wall across from the two. He was clapping, "You're hired." He said with a nod, he tossed a wad of cash Jack's way and went over to the body. Jack caught the money and stowed it away with his gun, then he walked off into the darkness.
OOC: I must be really bored...

OOC: Well Riley will someday go back to herself Esqui don't worry. Ryu should visit for sure! Nice post Billie! Oh and edited my first post, I added that leaves a rose with her victims as well, thought of it when I looked at that pic again.
BIC:
She walked down the street alone, the foggy lamps making her merely a slender silouhette. Night was her favorite time, when blackness washed over the earth. Only then could you see just how every part of their world was saturated with evil. Of course she was not a part of that. Riley was on the good side of things of course. The rain began to fall harder, a streak of lightning crackling across the skies. She could feel her body absobring the bits of electrical energy let off by the storm. Being in the rain too long was not a good idea for her. Already she could feel her skin prickling as the electric currents ran rampid through her damp skin.
Loud commotion could be heard from the upper alley. Obviously just another fight. The girl crept into the shadows, appreciating their usual cover. The only thing that may have stood out were here glowing blue eyes. They always gave her away when it was raining, it made it harder to control her power. She watched with amusement as he shot down the drunken group. Riley did not run out to defend them though, she just watched. They seemed to deserve the beating they got. When the fun was over though, she emerged once more onto the sidewalk.
Finally she arrived just outside the bar. The bouncer stood outside with a few regulars. As their eyes met hers they quickly moved aside and held the door open for her. Out of respect, but mostly fear. Riley came here often and everyone in the bar knew better than to mess with her. Most days she was moody and the smallest thing would set her off, usually something out of the blue.
Flashback:
Riley sat alone at the bar as usual. Lately she had been visiting the local bar after finishing a job. She had just started this new job for some high roller she knew little of. The man...or woman, payed in cash every time she completed a task. She never knew since they stayed in their limo and had the chauffer give her the pay.Part of her thought she was crazy for doing this, the other half thought it made perfect sense to kill those undeserving of life. One of the regulars came and sat next to her. A man in his early thirties. Obviously he was hitting on her, but he was honestly trying to be nice and polite to her. It was when he said his name that it all happened, like the flick of a lightswitch. Riley threw her fist into his face. He plummeted to the groundwith a bloody nose. When he opened his eyes Riley stood above him, a hand shaking as it held the gun pointed towards his face.
That was one of the nights they realized this young woman was dangerous, even if she seemed like an innocent child by the looks of it. Later when they brought the man outside they asked him what happened. He looked up at them and stuttered. "N-nothing, I just said my name was Shawn."
End Flashback
She sat down at the bar, a few people looked over warily but the moment she met their gaze they stared into their drinks. Riley ordered herself a scotch and looked up at the old TV, one of the games were playing. She noticed a girl a few yards off, dressed a little skimpy. She had vodka in front of her as well. Riley just smirked, that girl did not look like she could handle alcohol well. light weight... Absent mindedly she looked back up at the sports game, her mind drifting off as she sipped on her scotch.
Aly downed her shots as she looked around the pathetic bar. She noticed a new girl walk in, but it wasnt like she was going to start a conversation with her or anything. Aly ordered more alcohol, just as it was starting to effect her. Aly was keeping her cool though. She knew she could handle herself. She was hoping for some excitement though. She noticed a few others in their own seperate corners of the bar. Each engaged in their own conversations and what not, but Aly didnt need that. She didnt need company. She didnt need anyone. She was doing fine on her own. Just fine.
Aly downed the alcohol and placed the glass down. Then she started tapping the bar with her finger, out of habit.
So then I was like "Avada Kedavra!" and he was like *dead*

Re: Chicago
OOC: Oooh, I love the flashback
Jack rounded the corner, back onto the main street, he looked up the street towards the dirty bar he has just come from, they would probably not enjoy his company in there now, so he proceeded up the street a ways. A bouncer was letting people into another bar, Jack usually wouldn't have gone in, upon seeing that, but he wanted a drink to celebrate his new job, then he would disappear into the darkness again and await his next job.
Once he finally got inside, he noticed there were a lot of people in there. He hated people, as odd as that sounds, he figured they were all dirty and had no more reason to be on the Earth as dirt. He enjoyed killing them, he never did it for the money, but for the pleasure of the hunt. He believed that people were slowly killing themselves off, and taking everything they could with them, they were all greedy and power-hungry. There was no such thing as a good human being that could be trusted, not even himself.
He took a seat in the corner, the rain had washed the blood off of his hand well enough, he ordered his drink in a monotone, the server barely knew what he said, but he would never repeat himself, so he got a plain beer. He downed half of it as his eyes scanned the room, thinking nothing of any of the people around him.

Aly looked around at all the blank faces. The types of people that were there, that just pissed her off thinking about it.
Her eyes focused on a couple, they looked about in their early thirty's or so. They looked in love, but something was odd about it. Probably a married guy and his mistriss. She thought to herself.
Then she turned her head to a younger woman, maybe 22 or 23. She looked sad and heartbroken. Aly actually felt a bit of pity for her. Heartbreak, and alcohol, not a good mix
Aly kept looking around, and it was the same old. Everytime. You always saw the same kinds of people.
Aly sighed deeply and finished up her drink. She was getting past the limit, but she didnt drive, so she was okay. The last thing anyone needed was Aly being in a "dark" mood.
She looked around, for any normal person she could talk to or get to know or something. A guy wouldnt be have bad to get to know She thought to herself.
