Have you all gone to the Wiki timeline? He is born 1584, and in the episodes that Hiro are slated to appear, it's 1671. Boy, is it just me or does that guy NOT look 87 years old? So since we have now established he does not age, and must then be some type of immortal being, perhaps the theory that he becomes WTTB some credance. Thoughts? How else could he defeat an army of over 90,000 (se Sword Saint).
I'm glad you all enjoyed my theory of the Gray and Sons meaning a second brother (a twin) is the one...but whatever, only a theory.

Re: Kensi is clearly immortal...
I concur--he is like a Tolkein elf in that he does not age, or does so extremely slowly. That would be a very useful power in and of itself...but you would have to develop a high degree of patience.

Yeah thats definitely got to be his power in some way. Im not sure if i remember this right but i believe his story line somehow gets connected to the irish mobsters as well.
Since Kensei is British, it wouldn't surprise me if he's connected to the Irish mobsters. David Anders has been added as a regular, so he must exist in the present as well. I'm hoping that he turns out to be a new bad guy. It would be interesting if he was a hero in the past, but something changed him over the next 400 years.
Here's something to (as the Oracle would say) bake your noodle....
In the scene where Linderman and Nathan are touring the gallery and Nathan sees the painting of Hiro he says ".. I know that man..."
and Linderman's response is
"... tell him I want my sword back..."
Think on that quote and the subject of this thread.
That's something that'll really bake your noodle, eh?
Are you suggesting that Linderman is Kensai? Cuz that seems highly unlikely to me, considering that Kensai is supposed to also exist in the present as a young man.
highly doubtful that linderman was kensei. Pretty sure linderman was just refering to it as his sword since he "collected" it among everything else hero-ish he has "collected" and then Hiro stole it.
