UPDATE 1st SEPTEMBER 2007

The Syndicate has fallen. The ATF, Mathew Triggs' personal police force has been gutted by the reunited Heroes. And most importantly of all. President Triggs has been killed.

The nation is in a state of civil war. The Vice President has dissolved all rights, for Humans and Meta's alike. The Humans have found their chance and liberation groups all over the country have began to launch attacks on Meta's and the government./ While the Metas form vigilante groups to protect themselves from the Humans and the Oppression of Phils new government.

The nation is in anarchy. The Heroes begin to build an army of Humans and Meta's to reclaim their Nation, and the world. And bring freedom back to the world.

The Evolution wars have begun.

OOC: (For the sake of keeping this thread simple it will be based in New York and the surrounding areas only. With some exceptions being allowed for the white house. Unfortunatly no HQ's. You'll see why soon.)

This thread is to explore what would happen 10 years from now so be creative. Explore our own version of the dark future and don't be afraid to do something really bad to your character like death or horrible mutilation. This doesn't affect the main RP so really explore your characters properly and don't be afraid to hurt them. And remember, alot can happen in 10 years....

The future is a dark place. President Triggs has taken control of the white house. And managed to get the Syndicate in majority control of congress. He has abused his powers to the fullest and now Humans are treated as 2nd class citizens while the Meta's are treated almost like gods.

Triggs and his Syndicate are unchallenged. The heroes have scattered, being either dead, running, missing or having changed sides. There is no hope for victory now, there is no safe harbour. Every city, every street, every home. Is under his constant gaze. Welcome, to the Syndicates perfect world.

Chris and Elizabeths Apartment.

Christina appeared in an apartment. It looked just like any other place but the room she was in now looked like that of a child. And there was an odd lack of lighting.

Christina: Chris? Are you here?

Chris walked into the room. He looked at Christina shocked.

Chris: Christina? You look so young.

Christina: 10 Years will do that to a person.

Christina noted that Chris on the other hand looked much older then 30. He still looked good and healthy but with small scars on his arms and one down his cheek.

Christina: You know why I'm here then?

Chris:To change history. Yeah I remember.

Christina: Good. So you'll help.

She smiled a sweet innocent smile and they walked into the lounge room.

Nick was walking down 5th Avenue. What used to be a place full of life was now desolate. There were cameras everywhere. There were also "police" officers roaming around, if you could actually call them that. "F*cking commies......" Nick muttered to himself. He then came across a poster of President Triggs. "President? More like monarch. Or dictator."

America was in shambles, as was the rest of the world. Triggs' totalitarian rule cut off other countries and strained relations with the other world powers. World War III was on the horizon, and everyone knew it. "I hope we lose. At least other countries know how to preach equality between supers and normals." Nick paused for a moment. "Huh...I never thought that other countries would actually beat us in the equality department." He stifled a laugh and kept walking.

Scott, now 27, couldn't think of any use for his powers since Triggs had taken over. So he got a job at D.C. news station as a weatherman. When he gave the forecast, it was of what he wanted the weather to be.

So much horror.... So much had happened in 10 years. There was so much corruption....

A.J. had changed over those years of horror. His eyes were now permantly wide and somewhat vacant from things that no man should have seen. His optimism was gone and he stuttered when he talked. His left hand was missing the finger

A.J. looked around the desolate streets quietly, cameras following his movement. Cries and screams seemed to be everywhere. People hated people like him... because of Triggs. Triggs and his organization had passed horrible bills to be laws. Things that would have made Jefferson sick.

He walked down the street, they had to relocate the Heroes Headquarters after the spy incident. They had lost the lives of several. It seemed like only yesterday even though it had happened 4 years earlier.

A.J. took a turn heading toward the new (worse) headquarters they had managed to create. The surrounding buildings appeared dead and falling apart. He looked away and concentrated on his destination.

"G-God help us." he pleaded

Riley Walker

The 28 year old walked slowly down the sidewalk, her head held low and her hands in the pockets of ehr jean coat. What was once such a bright young face was now dark and those birhgt blue eyes full of lost hope. She was broken, into millions of pieces that had scattered years ago along with the Heroes who had run to numerous areas. If any of the Heroes had ever seen Riley again, they would probably not recognize her. She didn't look too different age wise, just slightly more mature. But now her eyes were a very dull grey color, and her skin sickly pale.

Awhile back right when the heroes HQ broke up, she suffered a sort of 'power melt down'. She had just been wandering around aimlessly and ended up near an electrical plant of sorts. Of course she aborbed the energy and ended up almost exploding before passing out. Riley Walker ended up in a coma for three months before she finally awoke. No one really knows how she woke form her slumber, but it happened.

Now she lives with the after affects of her overload,her body seems almost burnt out and rundown all the time. Also she barely has a power anymore. The girl can barely get a spark out of her hand. The overload weakened her body so much that she can't even hold energy anymore.She thinks of Shawn alot, she neve rknew what happened to him. Also of Chris, Ryu, and Tessa....the only real friends she ever knew...gone. Now she is considered not a Meta, but a second class regular human.

She now walks down the street in her aged sneakers, to an old apartment building to unlock her door.

33 year old Shawn hid behind a corner, watching the agents. As they came near him, Shawn took out his sword and hit them over the head. Shawn began walking down the hall. "Hiro, I'm in."

One day Scott went into work and there was three wierd men waiting for him. They told him that they work for the Syndicate and if he didn't quit his job, they would kill him.

Scott went and told the station head that he quit. He didn't know what to do know.

I'll just go back to New York. Good times there, the battle in Central Park.

Scott went out to his car and started driving towards New York.
