myNBC.com registration has started! But don't sign up, if you're a 9thW member!

If you go to my.nbc.com, you can see this screenshot (and here's the requisite flickr link...). What's cool is that 9thW members don't have to sign up; they've already reserved our screen names!

For some people here that would sound pretty cool to not have to reserve your respective screen names, however, I could be one of the few who won't get in...

See, it states that the screen names cannot have special characters, but if they attempted to reserve mine, it contains the Οmicron for the last letter, or the "&+#+927;" Unicode combo, so I guess that won't work. Bummer.

Anyway, I happened to check out the Social Networking page to see what was up since they had previously announced that this myNBC deal would launch in June, yet so far, no dice. Instead, there was a link in the right sidebar to go to the my.nbc.com site to register.

Well, I just thought I'd share the info that the myNBC deal will be startin' soon, and some people here won't hafta sign up to be a part of it!

Already got a 9thWonders account, so I guess I don't have to do it....whatever. It's about time I get something out of signing up over there.

What's interesting is that the names you reserve are case-sensitive. So are these login names or display names?

Don't worry about gettin' an email about the start of the myNBC deal, it's up now! Below is a screenshot, with the requisite flickr link; I want to add the larger version of my 9thW avatar, but it doesn't show up properly yet, so I did "retouch" the screenshot with one frame of the avatar...
