I didn't realize they were BOTH freshmen this past year. I knew Durant was but i thought Oden was a senior. They're both younger than i am but about 5 times my size. Who do you think will be the first draft? Its pretty obvious they'll go in the top 2 picks with the 3 gator boys in the top 10 somewhere. I think Oden will go before durant does. He's got good size for a center, plus, he can actually play (unlike most NBA centers) Durant reminds me a lot of T-mac but hes not all that consistant. Then again, Oden likes to foul a lot.
Oden first, because he's the safe bet. But if I was the GM I would go with Durant. That kid is gonna be big one day. Kobe Bryant good. I've seen him play live and he's really fast and slippery. Pack on a little bit more muscle, and when he slashes, no one is gonna be able to stop him. We were all so shock he came to UT. He would have and could have gone straight to the NBA if not for the new rule.
yeah theres no doubt they'll both be huge players. And they'll only improve more once they get a little NBA training in them. Its really just a 50 50 shot but i agree with you. Oden will probably go first and Durant second. I'd say Horford, Brewer and Noah will probably go 5th, 6th, and 7th (not necesarily in that order)
Yeah Oden is definitely going first. Oden is better at defense while Durant is better at offense. I honestly think that Durant will do a lot better than Oden in the NBA. Also I wouldn't say that Durant is inconsistent, maybe on defense but on offense he consistently performed well every game.
By the way, Oden looks like he is 40!

Durant is actually a pretty fantastic defensive player. He's tall and lean and he can move fast. Durant's best asset I think is that he's not lazy and he can go all game at full speed. But he IS a streaky shooter, kind of like Macgrady, so that's a concern I think.

I wasn't saying that he wasn't a good defender, I was just saying that he is not as good as Oden. But he does have a better offensive game than Oden

I think Oden's offensive game will develop tremendously over his first couple of seasons in the nba. I think he'll undergo Alonzo Mourning-type development on that end of the floor. And yeah, I would take him first in the draft.
And I think Noah and Horford will be in the top 6 or 7, but I think Brewer will slip down a few more spots. He'll still be a surefire lottery pick though.

See, that's why I would still take Durant over Oden. (The fact that we're both ex-Longhorns not withstanding, of course. ) Because I think Durant can become REAL good, while I think Oden WILL be good, just not REAL good, if you know what I mean. I think the difference between them is Kobe Bryant (Durant) and Omeka Okafor (Okden). Both extremely good players, but Bryant just has that extra step.

I dont know, i think Brewer might go before noah but definitely horford first.
And yeah i've been hearing a lot of people comparing Oden to Mourning and Durant to T-Mac
