Default His Dark Materials Trilogy

I heard many people say that there is going to be an upcoming trilogy about His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. The story comes off from three book:
1st Part: Northern Lights
2nd Part: The Subtle Knife
3rd Part: The Amber Spyglass

I read the first book at was really cool. I checked on the net and i found out that The New Line Cinema company has taken on the job in producing the movie. it's going to air in November 16, 2007 and it's sure to be a great movie. More details: http://www.newline.com/press/2006/0628_compass.shtml

More and more book series are being made into movies. I think that's a good thing though, cuz Hollywood has had a pretty good track record with book-turned-movies. I heard they're planning Twilight movies too.

Part of me is really looking foward to this adaptation, while another part is reluctant to see it. I liked some of what I saw in the trailer, but there are things I'm worried about *cough*the cast*cough*.

However, I'm still going to go see it when it comes out.
