How powerful can Hiro possibly be? I was watching episode 16 again, and during the scene where Hope is about to shoot Hiro, he manages to do a hell of a lot of amazing things at once:
- He causes the bullet to go back into the chamber (this may be possible if Hiro can bend time around specific objects)
- He manages to pull in a bunch of cops (I guess by the same theory as above, Hiro could have sped up the cops who were on the way?)
- He brings the gaming commission officer back up to health (same theory)
- He turns back all damage on the Versa (once again, changing an object without the rest of the world with it)
Now, with all of these in the realm of possibility for Hiro's powers, I have to say that he is far too powerful compared to the other heroes. By the same theory used above, Hiro could technically just cause Sylar to be unborn or cause fossils to become their original forms. The only thing the writer's have to prevent Hiro from becoming all-powerful is that he's unaware of the fact that he can do these things - "Her gun must have misfired"
yeahthe only thing he did was stop the bullet and send it back into the chamber. I guess he can selectively stop time for certain things. Im not sure exactly how it works, but like we've seen before, his emotions affect his powers so something strange happened there.
I'd be dangerous with power like that. I'd go about abusing hot babes, then turning back time a couple of minutes so it never happened to them. I'd cause riots and fights then stop time, run away to a safe distance, then watch the magic until it died down and everyone was just confused. I'd make myself appear in front of the same people a few times then disappear again until they quite believed they were going mad. I'd bump into them a few days later by accident and they'd be like, "Hey! Hey you there!" And I'd be all, "Hello, what seems to be the problem? Do I know you? "
Hiro didn't do any of that stuff except for reversing the bullet. I think you're over-analyzing that scene.
I'll admit that this is over-analyzing, but everything I said is backed up -
The Versa not having a scratch on it - In different frames throughout the scene, you see Hope shooting over the car, with broken glass scattered across the top, later you see that there are no cars next to it, so the broken glass could only have come from the Versa
Gaming commissioner back up to health - Why would Hope all of a sudden bend down slowly to shoot at Hiro if the guy was still alive and able to shoot? Clearly he had to have been injured somehow - we see him perfectly fine after Hiro makes his "changes"
Hiro speeds up the cops - We would have heard sirens if the cops were that close. Also the same as before, Hope would not have taken the time to bend down and shoot with 3 cop cars parked behind her. This is besides the fact that it would be impossible for the police to get there so fast (the gunfight only lasted a minute before they arrived)
sometimes television needs to suspend reality to make it work within the time restraints. the Versa not being damaged was a comical effect. it's not an unknown gag. plus, it's a huge plug for the product in the show.
the gaming guy was knocked down, but not unconscious. it wouldn't be all that strange for hope to think she'll take care of hiro, then take care of him next, if she had to. that's also a common thing for villian(esse)s to do.
as for the cops arriving immediately, it's possible hiro's returning the bullet also did something to get them there faster. more likely, though, the timing just followed along with the style of the scene.
What I think about most of heroes powers, is that, their power are like a bubble, they can be extended, like a big bubble, or use ir only for himself/herself, like DL, can go throw walls, alone or with someone else, also hiro, Peter, if they touch someone else, this bubble is a little bit bigger and so on. With the bullet, I think hiro make it go back "ONLY THE BULLET", and the rest of the scene were in a real time.

Don't worry, I have been assured by many people here that bending space doesn't really move things. Space bending cannot be used to resemble telekinesis, so, Hiro didn't really do that. Obviously Sylar was around at the time.
