Sylar saw his fate and didn't stop it! (1+ MB animated gif)

DeusExPeter has made another animated gif (he made the Fpeter and the unsuspecting guard one earlier), showing the vision Sylar saw as he was painting the final Kirby Plaza showdown. You can see that he saw all of the final scene, which probably means he wasn't gonna fight his fate. You can see that he saw Hiro appear and that he got stabbed, along with Nathan appearing and those two flying off! Wild!

So was Sylar at peace with getting stabbed by Hiro, since he saw it coming, or was he powerless to stop it?

I don't think he thought that Hiro was really going to do it. He asked Ando that if it was a joke that some puny little man would kill him.

I don't think that he was at peace either because I don't think he wanted to die. He wanted to become president and rule the world.

Go watch that climactic scene again and listen to both his dialogue and how he says it. Sylar was at peace with being stabbed, because he knew it was a fate he could not avoid.

Now that he has been stabbed and has crawled away alive under his own power, he is free to pursue his second life. He does still have the power of precognition, so he can at least glimpse what will happen.

Sylar didn't necessarily know that Hiro was gonna stab him, cuz he didn't actually paint that part. I believe that Isaac drew in the comic, but Sylar didn't do it himself. Neither Isaac nor Sylar can see beyond what they paint. Yes, the vision flashed in his head, but he shouldn't have been able to know that unless he actually painted it.

However, he also has eidetic memory, from picking Charlie's brain - so maybe that helps...

i think there's probably more to this story...Sylar did a lot of weird thinks to secure his being "Special" and everything...so basically I'm saying that he probably underestimated Hiro. Remeber when he called him a "Silly little man?" lol...CLASSIC!

Well, I think that Sylar was unable to stop Hiro as his mind was elsewhere, he was recovering from Niki and Peters punches. And when Sylar gets distracted, his power doesn't seem to work (e.g. With Sylar/Petrelli Round 1)

Yeah I saw the episode again and it doesn't seem like he was at peace with being stabbed. When Hiro teleported and called his name, Sylar said in a hateful tone "YOU!" and then all of a sudden Hiro stabs him. I do not think he was at peace because he showed no implications of that. And I also do not think that he wanted to die because when he was talking to Isaac before killing him, he made it sound like fate couldn't kill him.
