So, the finale is supposed to take place in New York but the Double Ascension is in Los Angeles, why did they film it there if it's supposed to take place in New York? :o

Just because a TV show or movie is set in one location doesn't mean that it actually has to be filmed there. That happens most of the time, depending upon money, the ability to obtain the proper permissions, and other people wanting to film in the same location.

Probably the same reason they shoot the exteriors of NYPD Blue in NY but the interiors in L.A. Most of them live/work in LA and it's just easier and cheaper.

hehe, true but I think that for that specific scene they should have done it in New York, although I think the double ascension was a nice place to have a final battle but certainly not for the finale we got :P

B/c NYers get cranky everytime they are trying to rush to work and a street is closed off b/c some show is filming. It happens all the time. And it is cheaper to film other places.

But I do agree about the final scene.

Hmmm... they were supposed to be in New York. "First we go to NY and take out the tracking system, then the ones still standing can go after Linderman" or something like that. It was supposed to be in New York, so I'm guessing they thought it looked better in LA, it was easier (for many reasons) or something like that...

Probably because when they were filming it was still winter in NY, and also because it really makes no difference.

The writers of the show needed that red stairstep sculpture because of its vague similarity to the Heroes "godsend" symbol...and it exists in Los Angeles.
