Why Didn't Peter fly off on his own???

I understand Nathan needing to show he was a good guy deep down but, why did Peter just not fly himself out of there???

when have you seen him fly well enough to even try?

Exactly, He couldnt control it, and he said it. So, I think all his powers were out of control perhaps because he was absorbing everybody powers there. (Niki, Hiro, Sylar, Matt, Micah, Molly, DL), then that was too much at once.

when peter absorbs lots of powers at once he can lose control

niki DL micah and molly

4 new powers going into him at once is most likely the reason he lost control of teds power the reason it was teds power is because he had not learned to control teds power yet

also peter could not fly he couldn't control any of his power

The only problem with that is that he had been losing control of ted's power without other heroes there. One when he was with Claude, and another one was when he was alone in the street.
