Friend's Theory on Peter's Face Scar

my friend told me gave me a theory of how Peter receives his scar

Ando will mistakenly cut Peter with his sword due to thinking that he was Sylar giving him an unhealable scar(but how?)

Pretty good theory he has

Interesting hypothesis...

...unforunately shot down by one inescapable fact: Present Peter can regenerate like Claire, so no scars are possible. Only Future Peter (FPeter for short) had the scar because he never met Claire; that future is an impossibility now so ignore Peter ever having a scar.

actually if i remember correctly in 5 years gone claire is alive because peter did save her this is the whole reason hiro went back to tell peter to save claire so sylar could be killed so yes future peter did meet claire so that leads me to the question WHY DOES PETER HAVE A SCAR

I think Peter will end up getting a scar one way or another. I'll be interested to see how it happens because right now I can't think of any likely scenarios.

I've always assumed that when Peter explodes, it somehow "negates" his regeneration. Lame theory, I know.

A-HA!!! That's it. I knew it had to be the sword. The scar was too big and straight. The sword is linked with at least some of them (Claire, Niki/Jessica, Isaac, Hiro - duh....uh, can't remember anymore). So...apparently, it has some power of its own negating Peter's power to regenerate.

At least, that's my guess.

Only FPeter has a scar and that future is no longer possible. FPeter never met Claire but PPeter (the one in our present) has.

Now do you see why Peter--the Peter in our present reality--will never have a scar?

FPeter had to have met Claire and saved her. Just think, if FPeter has Claude's power of invisibility, that means he trained with him. And during the training, when Claude threw Peter off the building, had Peter not have had Claire's power, he would have died. This is besides the fact that Claire would be dead in the future had Peter not saved her. And even if that hadn't happened, Peter would have died when fighting Sylar in Mohinder's apartment. And furthermore, since Peter was the bomb, he would have gone to smithereens if he couldn't regenerate

You also mention PPeter and FPeter as if they are two completely different people! Logically speaking, anything PPeter has right now, FPeter HAS to have in the future. It would be impossible for it to be otherwise! They are in two different times, not two different universes.

My assumption is that the reason Peter had the scar was because the sword probably has its own magical properties and rules, not that he never got Claire's power
