Don't get me wrong, i love the show. there is just somethings that i feel could be better. like the relationship between peter and syler. in my opinion, peter is way more powerful then sylar. he can absorb powers of anyone he is in contact with. well wouldn't stand to reason he would have the same power as sylar ,plus more since he met others with abilitys. this is bother some to me. sylar and peter need to have a kick butt fight that doesn't always end with sylar winning. sylar is not as powerful as peter. so why is he wimping out everytime.
the other problem i have is hero nak. how does a person train for 2 hrs and become a master swordsmen? this was strange. and not realistic.also his friend goes to fight sylar? are you kidding me. lets not make drama that is frustrating and dumb. would you go and fight someone who has so much power that no one could stand up to him. and your going to try to stop him with no power. come on now. i know shows are just entertainment, but surely the story writers read the story back to themselves. no one in there right mind would be so dumb as to think they could beat and armed man without a gun or weapon of there own. this is my equalvilent to sylar with powers and his friend has none.
i also do not understand how sylar could walk up to ted and steal his power. all ted has to do is go thermo and sylar would be vaporized. i'm not talking about a nuke burst just a small burst could of relieved him of his hand cuffs and scared sylar away. this made no sense. but i guess they are trying to hurry the storyline.
i guess i'm just hoping that they spend a little more time on keeping to the frame work of the charictors . if they have that much power then make it alittle more realistic on how they were defeated. also please write more action to the story, dramas good but we didn't tune in to to see a flying man talk. or a killer just walk around killing people with no equal fighting him. a yeng to his yang.
well any way love the show just needs a little more tweeking to get the bordom and unrealistic plots.
Peter is not a killer; Sylar is. Sylar's ability isn't just absorbing powers (which I don't think is REALLY his power), but he knows how things work, and how to make them better. I.e. as good as Peter will ever be, Sylar will always be better, for the simple fact that he knows HOW things work instinctively, while Peter has to spend time learning and adjusting, etc. That is why, in a battle, I think Sylar will always win between them.
The Hiro training sequence. Yes, kind of dumb. The Ando thing? You gotta think about this from HIS perspective -- He already knows he's going to die! When you know you're going to die, and the person you're counting on to save you (Hiro) keeps failing and failing, you get desperate. Ando is currently desperate, that's why he's going after Sylar himself. He doesn't want to die!
Ted doesn't want to hurt people. During the crash, he hurt himself, and was still whining about the pain. Sylar killed him easily as a result.
There are always room for improvement, but as you can see from my responses to your thoughts above, the show actually does do a lot of things right, but you just never considered a lot of the answers to your complaints.
Keep watching, though. First seasons of every show is always tricky; a show never really hits its stride until the second or third season.

Re: problems with storyline
You are willing to accept that a man can phase through solid matter but you are unwilling to accept that someone could attain skill with a sword in only 2 hours? You have an interesting--and very limited--set of circumstances you are willing to accept.
Every show has problems because nothing is ever perfect. You have a choice: either watch the show as it is or turn off the TV. If the plot holes bother you that much...do something else.

Lol, too true, Math. I also liked how he complained about the "unrealistic plot" in a show where one guy is a walking nuke and another guy slices people's heads open with his finger in order to get to their brains.

Harsh words Mathy! There are certain plot holes that bother me even though I love the show. I hate how they dealt with Jessica/Nikki at the end. Seemed pretty lame. Any thoughts on the whole Jessice/Nikki thing?

Hmm, did you unconsciously misspelled BOTH of their names wrong there, Leah?
I have a friend whose name is spelled Nikki so I know what you mean Leah. But I think that the whole Jessica/Niki was incomplete. I mean, we still don't know why Jessica is able to take over Niki's body and we still don't know why Niki doesn't have superstrength. Also it seemed like Jessica had a change of heart ALL of sudden. I mean this woman was meaner than a witch and then all of a sudden she becomes good?

I look at Jessica's behavior as caring for Niki. Sure, they've had their major disagreements...but in one way or another they're still sisters or the same person or lovers or something.
The Jessica was a mistake, but I always assumed that her name was spelled Nikki. How do they spell it?
And more importantly, what did you think of that part of the show (other than the fact that you think she is hot)?
I think Jessica is hot. I could do without Niki.
I don't mind the Niki/Jessica divergence, but I can see how people might think they're filler. The writers sure took their time tying them into the rest of the show.
