In the year 2006, ordinary people with extraordinary abilities have been appearing all around the world. Although there have been people with powers in the past, there has never been a generation with so many supers until now. Some of these supers choose to use their powers for the benefit of others. Some choose to harm others for their own gains. Most are simply lost. One thing is for sure though - their destiny lies in New York. Every event that occurs in their lives, most of them inconspicuous, leads them one step closer to their destiny. On November 8th, 2006, a nuclear bomb exploded in New York. The cause of the bomb has yet to be determined, but it is for sure related to the supers. Now, not only do the supers have to cope with their newfound abilities, but they must also deal with this tragedy. Let the journey begin.....
Alright guys, this is where it begins. Whenever you make a post about your character, make sure you write down your character's name and where he/she is located (just like in the show). That way people won't get lost. I'll start it off....
"Whoa!" Nick exclaimed as he was watching the evening news. "A nuclear bomb? Jackass terrorists......"
Moments later, his friend Drake walked into his room. "Did you hear the news?" Drake asked.
"Of course. This is so crazy. First my powers (Drake is the only one who knows about Nick's abilities), now this bomb. What's next, hell freezing over?" Nick replied.
"I don't know what's next. I think right now the world's too busy worrying about the present."
"This isn't right. Mr. Horton was right. (Mr Horton is a famous crime boss that Kristi has worked for since she was 17)." a young woman around 22 says, standing in a black dress attire with a white belt buckle in her living room in an expensive looking condo.
As Kristi watches the news and wonders where Mr. Horton recieved his information, a small child around the age of four walks in in his PJ's and barefoot.
"Mom...what's going on?" he asks her still weary
"Domenic, go to bed sweety. Mommy has some business to attend to. I'm going to call Carol. (Domenic's babysitter) Can you stay safe until I get back?"
"Yeah mom..sure. I always do." he says almost with no tone to his voice.
Johnny raises up the volume on his waterproof radio in his lifeguard post and listens in disbelief as he stares into the sunset.
He quickly climbs down his ladder to his locker and digs into his bag of clothes. He grabs for his cell to call a friend of his who's made a living in New York.
"We're sorry, you're call cannot go through, please try again later..."

Shawn was sitting on his bed, staring in disbelief at his hand. Holy sh*t, he thought. How is this possible? To distract himself from his crazy thought, he turned on the TV. Unfortunetly, that didn't help. Holy f***, Shawn thought.

Reason: curse my indecisiness!
"Turn that crap off, Carol. I don't want him involved in this...at all." Kristi says as Carol sits down to watch the news.
"Honey, he's involved because you are involved, you know..with your ability...So darlin, the way I look at it, is it's inevitable." the woman known as Carol with dark brown eyes and fine straight blonde hair put up in a bun says with a southern accent.
As Kristi hears these words, she walks over to Carol and suddenly grabs her by the throat.
"Don't you ever speak like that again. There's two things I can't stand, Carol. One is negativitiy..the other, is dumb blondes who run their mouths without thinking. You got me sport?" Kristi threatens her with a frown.
"Kristi, girl. I, I didn't mean anything by it hun..I, i really didn't." Carol speaks out, gasping for air.
Kristi lets go of Carol's throat as the southern belle gasps for air.
"I'll be back in a few days..Watch over him. I'll call as soon as I get where I'm going." Kristi informs Carol.
"Kristi! You can't keep leaving him! He's getting suspisious! And where on God's green earth can you be going at 20 till midnight?"
"New York."
Kristi jets out the living room without saying any goodbye to her son.
David looks at his younger brother, Colten, across the couch. the show they were watching had been inturupted by the New York bombing.
Colten looked back in a lazy voice "Damn"
"Colt i need to get up there. I need to help."
Colt thought about asking why but knew his brother would just say the same thing he always did-Because it's right.
David knew that it was protocal to ground all flights in these situations so he got in his truck and bought gas and ammo for his .45 and left for a state he never wanted to go to.
Seth looks out his window and can see the smoke from his 5th story apartment. The last time there was this kind of devastation in New York he lost his mother. A feeling of dread overcomes him. "Dad. Please, God, he's the only one I have left."
He dials his father's cell phone, but just gets voicemail. Next Seth tries his father's work number, but gets the same result.
He paces the room hoping for a call from his father. Nothing. Finally Seth takes a deep breath and runs out the door. He just has to find out for himself.
