Candice's Ability
A friend of mine came over on Thursday to watch the episode I DVRed Monday, and as I watched it I realized something interesting that no one else has yet mentioned. Right after Candice goes to take a shower, Micah leaves the apartment, goes down the hall, turns the corner, opens another door, and winds up in the same room he just left. Confused, he leaves again, goes down the hall to yet a different door, and winds up in the same room again. He asks Candice how she did that, to which she replies "I can make you see anything I want".
hrm....
Her ability isn't just to illusionarily duplicate other people, including their clothes and voice, but she can cast fully-realistic three-dimensional that are solid to the viewer. Mon Dieu! That is an extremely powerful power! She can basically alter reality at a whim.
She shouldn't be able to fool Matt or someone who "sees" without using their eyes and MBG can block her ability.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised that no one has actually mentioned that yet too. I guess I was too focused on Missy Peregrym and Ali Larter wearing nothing but a towel.
Oh yeah, she definitely has a strong power but I doubt the writers will fill that power up to the fullest. What I mean is that she will always be a sidekick type and never be a true powerhouse.
However, this is why I believe that Sylar is the one who blows up New York. If he takes candice's power, then he can make Peter believe that he (peter) did it.

Erm wasn't that pretty obvious from the start? I seem to remember her making Simones body disapear in the apartment. And when she caught HRG in the act a bunch of "agents" appeared from nowhere. But it is one hell of an ability, I would think enough to stop sylar. Is there a physical element? I would think so else she'd have to work within the confines of what she physically has, this would mean that as Micah ran around opening doors they would have to be there physically if not. Possible but as he ran away from the room into an identical one this would mean an identical room had to be there which would be unlikely. So she either alters reality itself, makes walls appear etc, or she alters people's perception making them not only see but feel as well, if this was the case she could make them feel anything, no different to feeling a door handle open to feeling a large metal object land on your head. I would say she alters reality as when Simone died they all saw the same thing, this would hint that she alters things in general rather than a single persons perception. But as I said before this would mean there must be a physical side to her power or Micah was in a large room that felt the same wherever he was.
Another thing about her power is that she can apparently fool cameras as well. In Five Years Gone, Sylar was disguised as Nathan in front of the entire country. So there must be a telepathic aspect to her power as well.

That's a good point. It can't be that she distorts reality of those within range, since she appears to be rangeless (I guess that's the word). Or that she mentally tinkers with the brain/eyes of the person in front of her, because like you said, Sylar fooled the whole world via TV in Five Years Gone.
Hmmm, Im not enterily convinced about that, because in "five years gone", Sylar told Peter, "the guy that was blamed to blew NY, but you and I know the real story", so, that means, Sylar didnt do it.

I'd also like to know if she can target specific people out of a group, or if everyone within a specific range (which she can adjust obviously) sees the same thing. So far it's been hard to tell if the bad guys simply knew ahead of time how she was disguising herself or if they actually saw her in disguise. Or themselves being all invisible.

My guess is that Candice's power has a limited range; the discrepancy in Five Years Gone (via the TV and the fact that Sylar has been fooling EVERYONE IN THE WORLD) with the power is because that is a "it will never happen" episode, so they can do whatever they want with it. I still believe Sylar will die at the end of Season 1. There's simply no reason to keep him as a villain with Linderman just waiting in the wing.
