During the preview for the next episode, Hiro stops time and is getting ready to kill Sylar when all of a sudden, Sylar's eye looks at Hiro. Now why would this happen? I think that the Haitain Guy has befriended Sylar. The Haitian guy tells Sylar about Hiro and Sylar plays it off acting like he is frozen.
Here are some points to why I believe this theory. (mainly the third)
-Remember when the Haitain guy was "protecting" Claire by not letting her forget? I think he was trying to show her that she can trust him. Then he would lure her towards Sylar. This was sourt of a left off story between Claire and MBG but this would be the perfect way to close the gap.
-In the future, the Haitain guy seems ruthless. He doesn't really care about past Hiro, unlike Mohinder (who is a good guy), and he holds him still so Mohinder can kill him.
-The main reason why I think this theory may have a chance is that it is just more plausible. I don't think "future" sylar came back in time and told "past" sylar to watch out simply because "future" sylar never kills "future" Hiro. Even if he did warn him, how is Sylar going to be able to go against Hiro's power? I also don't think that Hiro just blanks out for a second because if you watched the preview, as Hirot attacks him, he closes his eyes and swings away. He never hesitated.

Could be that it was just video editing as well. They've done it multiple times before to lead us in the wrong direction. Could be that his eye moved when his mom said something to him and hiro wasn't even there yet and they just edited in that segment. I doubt the haitian was there because there is little to no evidence at all to support it. Future sylar can't time travel anyways to warn him so thats not the case.
My guess is that its just video editing. But then again we do see sylar talking to hiro so i dont know.
Hey I know what you mean by the previews can be misleading sometimes, so I watched the preview again and found something pretty interesting. When Hiro froze time, you see a bloody hand hanging up for a breif second. I think that the bloody hand is Sylar's mom's hand. Sylar was wearing the exact same outfit and everything so it was pretty conclusive. Also, it seems pretty conclusive that he did move his eye when Hiro tried to kill him. His mouth was open and his face was the exact same way when you saw his face frozen from time. Then, he moved his eye towards Hiro.

I take back my theory. I think I might know the reason. Remember how Sylar is a WATCHMAKER and he knows how things WORK? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Sylar's mom has some kind of power and that he kills her to take her power (whatever it is), maybe her power is similar to the haitian in a way because if hiro stops time and Sylar is not affected maybe his mom has some kind of immunity to other's powers
As for the haitian, I don't think he's bad at this point.

Actually, if you watch the preview, you can clearly see a hand raised up that is bloody. Everything is frozen...including Sylar's mom.
I have to agree with you though about the Haitian. I think the reason Sylar was able to move his eye is because he was a watchmaker and knew how things worked. Maybe he knows how time works as well.

maybe Im wrong, but I think in order to know how things work, Sylar has to have that power, doesnt he?. Otherwise he couldnt be affected for other powers.
I understand what you are saying but his original power is to know how things work. I was just thinking since he was a watchmaker and all and he deals with time a lot...maybe he knows how that works.

That still doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's one thing to know how something works, but it's another to actually change it. He may "know" how time works, but that doesn't explain how he'd be able to avoid being frozen by Hiro's power.
