Step 1: Come up with the idea that, by using the word HEROES and 3 horizontal bars, a person can create a view that looks like the HEROES Symbol.

Step 2: Define that the placement of the 3 horizontal bars will be on either side of the letters in HEROES that usually have enclosed spaces, which are the letters 'R' and 'O'.

Step 3: Create a virtual solid model of the word HEROES in an almost-monospaced type of font, with the conditions that the 'O' is double the width of the other letters and there is no space between the letters, and then add 3 bars and 2 curves that are tangent to each another.

Step 4: Create a few orthogonal views, along with an isometric view, of the resulting HEROES Symbol.
