If the HEROES Symbol was actually helical...

then I tried to visualize what it would look like in a virtual 3-dimensional space (the thumbnails go to the gallery images):

The first image was based on having horizontal bars that were all the same length and longer than the "rungs" that would connect to another helix, but it is a little similar to lengths of the horizontals of the painted symbol here:

And the second image shows what the horizontal bars would look like if they were only long enough to reach the middle of another helix, which would project shorter horizontals.

Just messin' around to see what it would look like.

I thought I'd submit these ideas to nbc just for the fun o' it, and guess what? The "art" became the entries numbered 21414 and 21415... How fun.

I wanted to make an improved version of the previous incarnations of the HEROES Symbol that were designed based on if that symbol was actually helical, however, it seems I only take a stab at it every 6 months.

I thought I'd post it here even if it doesn't become part of the nbc HEROES Fan Art Gallery.

This version was my interpretation of the HEROES Symbol if its proportions were generally based on the DNA B form (and I've managed to only include the rfl in this post - I know, kinda surprising...

):

Thanks! I wanted to see how a helical shape based off of the DNA B form looked when compared to the various HEROES Symbol sketches, and hadn't seen any such representation before. I was hopin' to make something fun enough to share.
