That pretty much says it all. The Company is interested in people with abilities.

The real question is why are they interested? Simple curiosity isn't the answer. I highly doubt they are out to kill metahumans--no one wastes abilities like telepathy, suggestion, invisibility, etc. I suspect they are trying to figure out how to replicate and expand those abilities--imagine a telekinetic with the power to lift an entire building, a pyrokinetic who can generate temperatures as hot as the Sun, or someone with gravitic control enough to disrupt asteroids or comets from their trajectories. "Taking over the world" would be the most minor goal to accomplish at that point.
