“Heroes” producer Tim Kring gave Sci Fi Wire the lowdown on his show’s upcoming Season 2, or as he calls it, Volume 2. Some tidbits of note include: Season 1 will definitely have 23 episodes and no more; the storyline currently running through Season 1 will definitely end at Episode 23, launching the way for [...]
Re: Tim Kring Talks Heroes Season 2 (aka Volume Two)
Hmmm, this may shoot down the silly rumors of a 20 yrs ago season two.I don't see how characters can evolve by tellling a story of when they weren't even born yet.
Re: Tim Kring Talks Heroes Season 2 (aka Volume Two)
I think Nathan is the next to go. In on of the interviews they were asked about how his girlfriend was in his dream of the bomb but she would be dead by then. They noted that in the dream she dies, so perhaps his dreams are not accurate but still tell of some truths. Nathan also died in that dream standing next to Peter.
So I think the perong he is refering to in this interview is Nathan. If so that would be rather lame as he is one of the stronger and more interesting characters on the show. If they have to kill off some people... I can make them a list. Topped with Sylar, Nikki, DL, and Michia.
Re: Tim Kring Talks Heroes Season 2 (aka Volume Two)
I can't see Nathan going.
I saw the dream as a symbol of where Nathan and Peter stand now.Peter not being in control, and Nathan standing on the sidelines doing nothing about what's happening.
Nathan is one of the characters this show needs, his cynical view on everything is much needed in a show where everyone has powers.
Re: Tim Kring Talks Heroes Season 2 (aka Volume Two)
As my favorite character there's that nagging fear that he'll go, but storywise it doesn't seem possible, and if it did happen I'd really question the logic. It'd really bum me out, and I'd feel cheated since there's lots of stuff about this character that they've opened up to be explored, moreso than most. The dream has always bugged me too though, specifically showing Simone and Nathan incinerated and now Simone is truly dead. I'm hoping though it was just a representation of Peter's fears of harming the most important people in his life, and out of everyone in his dream, Nathan and Simone are easily the ones he loves most.
I hope Kring is careful and doesn't just off characters for the sake of showing new ones. At least, it seemed as if he were insinuating to drastic differences between this season's cast and next. He can't underestimate how emotionally involved fans get with a show's characters. Axing them just for the sake of bringing in new ones will really make people mad and potentially drive them away from the show.
