Does anyone know what that sign means or what the name of it is?

It's a combination of two Japanese symbols. One of the symbols means "Great talent" and the other one means "Godsend." There's also been speculation that it could represent a piece of DNA.

so about that symbol, so far the only people that have that symbol on them everytime we see them is the Haitian and Jessica, (hiro gets it on the sword, but not until he recieves the sword) I wonder if that means anything???? like are those two connected somehow??? too many hidden, unexplained things that go on in this show, everything has a meaning

I think Peter also can get this symbol. Do you remember when the future hiro gave the message to Peter he said to Peter that 'You look different without the mark'. That means Peter also can get it. But what it really means...only the director can tell us! I think...

Im pretty sure the scar is going to be the result of Peter and sylars little encounter during this last episode.

I hope the scar isn't just the result of Sylar using his telekinesis to try to cut open Peter's head. That would be a dumb-looking scar cuz it would just be a straight line across his forehead.

Yeah but from the preview clip, it looks like sylar doesn't even make it all the way around his head. So maybe it'll only be across half his head. that be a little better than all the way around
