I wonder if there is a hero with the Gadgeteering ability--the ability to create extremely high-tech devices, whether or not they understand exactly how they work--who has a machine that can clone a human?

I think it was a smart move. She was in limbo from the very beginning of the show. I don't know what their original plans for her were or why exactly those plans didn't pan out, but whatever the reason it was painfully obvious they had really no idea what to do with her. Now, by killing her in the fashion that they did, it effects two other main characters in a deep way and probably (hopefully), serves as motivation for these guys to go in whatever direction they choose to go.

I'm glad she's gone. The love triangle with her, Isaac, and Peter wasn't that interesting to me.

According to Cypress, Kring had planned to killer her a while ago, back in December, so he's been planning this for a while. I'm guessing he's going to use her death to push either Peter or Isaac over the edge.

Isaac has only been getting more stable in the past episodes, especially after the positive influences of Eden and Hiro.

Actually, the clean & sober Isaac is more interesting than the junked-out one. At least now we know that when Isaac speaks it's really Isaac and not the drugs, plus he can paint the future without drugs, so he can do it whenever he wants/needs to.
