Default Alice in Wonderland

My son ( he is 3 1/2) watched it for the first time yesterday. I have not seen it since college. I forgot how trippy it is.

Any other parents watch Alice with their kids? Totally different experience than watching it "back in the day"

Cool

Are you referring to the animated Disney version?

Personally, I try to stay away from anything Disney whenever possible. Personal preference and all that jazz.

Yes - the Disney animated version.

We do not watch much Disney but my son is really into this station called Noggin (I know that your kid is too old for this stuff) and PBS kids. They both have really great kids shows.

He is obsessed with the Disney movie Cars. It is pretty innocuous.

I suppose I should clarify the Disney situation. What I have seen on the Disney channel is the worst sort of mindless drivel conceivable. The older Disney cartoon movies are classics of both story and animation--they should be watched, but stop before you get to Aladdin and the Little Mermaid--their movies turned to *ahem* by that point. I blame Eisner. Anyway....

Disney/Pixar movies are generally really good: Cars, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, etc. Pixar finally decided to stand on their own, though, which should allow them to expand their movie content.

I have no knowledge of Noggin, so I'll take your word for it.

Noggin seems pretty cool. I don't have cable or satellite, so I can't watch it, but it has Instant Star, which is a show I watch online. It also has other shows aimed at the teen demographic.

I still love 'Alice in Wonderland', though watching it with the kids is less...um...entertaining. We even have the one w/ the Pink Floyd soundtrack. It's...interesting, but doesn't match up as well without the drugs.
